Lots of weed growing here in Pueblo county. I thought this kinda thing would happen here, not Weld county. I wonder if we will have a "marijuana war" ?

They must be mistaken, all the puffers swear that crime hasnt gone up by bringing in all the pro MJ tranplants. Not suprised it would happen.

I didn't think they smoked marijuana in Muskogee.

It's not so much about the weed, as it is the opportunity.

Okies make trips to CO hoping to cut out middle man. Middle man offers big score to them. Okies jump at chance to "bring it home" Okies meet fate.

Weed has replaced or rather taken the spotlight off the meth head tweekers. Media siezes on frenzy, reporting EVERY dope deal gone bad.

Replace weed with craigs list gun deal goes bad. Or gun transaction turns deadly. Dope's the current evil. It will fade after the next 5 points "rumors of gang related" shooting, happens.

Anytime there's opportunity to make quick cash illegally, someone's gonna come out on the wrong end. Usually there's a body or two in the mix.

This reminds me a lot of what was going in Southern Arizona in the 70s. There were a few characters that specialized in the "ripoff"-meet the out of state buyers, kill them, take the money then dump them in the desert.

Of course the pot wasn't legal then. There were twin brothers who were the kings of that kind of thing. Came from a nice family-parents got popped for having approx $1mil in counterfeit money buried at their steakhouse outside of town.

No, the "war on drugs" has been going full tilt for decades! And just look how successful it's been!

...just like the "war on poverty" and the "war on climate change" and the "war on terror".... [facepalm]

Their are large numbers of legal growers now which is cool, whatever. But their seems to be more large illegal grow operations going on as well. A lot of them admit to transporting out of state where they can get more money for it. I hate working around that stuff especially the smokers, to me it smells like ass. I am actually kind of suprised their isnt more violence being publicized.

If marijuana were legal in Oklahoma then these two dropouts wouldn't be here buying weed (on the black market) to sell across state lines. Prohibition causes crime, everyone knows that.
