View Full Version : Who's riding?
This Saturday is going to be perfect for being on 2 wheels. Who's gonna be out? I'll be meeting some friends for coffee around 9 and then I plan on being out the rest of the day.
I'm hoping to get the bike out for a bit. We are supposed to be getting the wife something new soon. I'm hoping Saturday might be a good day for her to take some test rides.
I'll be out but nothing fast and furious. Just put a new battery and tires on her ......ready to ride.

Well I should have a patch that says "born to be mild" [ROFL2]
It's all good to me.

I'm hoping to put a few miles on over the next few days. I'm picking up a few pieces I had "clear bra'd" later today. I also received a new windshield a couple of days ago that I'd like to try out. 'Tis the season! Woo, hoo.
I echo the Born to be Mild comment.
I have been riding all winter long. Saturday will be a day to ride and Sunday will be a day to shoot.
Saturday shoot in the morning and ride in the afternoon for me

I'll be out Saturday morning.
Kinda thinking of heading down to Franktown via Parker Rd, in to Castle Rock, then Palmer Lake for lunch (probably the Speed Trap-too many land pirates at O'Malleys :D), head back up Perry Park/105. Maybe a late afternoon/early evening at the range to try a "new" old blaster I just picked up-S&W 64 with a 3" barrel from the early/mid 80s.
Hoser rides in the winter? [panic]

I will be out and about here and there this weekend. I rode to work this AM and froze. Summer gear, cool temps and 85mph don't mix to well.
Now I wish I hadn't sold my bike

More of a Delicate Flower...
As long as there isn't ice on the roads and its above 15-20, I usually ride.

I rode my bicycle to work today....
Motorcycle is staying in the garage this weekend, ski slopes are still open.
If I can clear a path I'm with you Hoser.

Is that a Scirocco in the background?
I had an 82' Scirocco and sold it to get a 93' Corrado which was the next gen.

My bad..I meant to Say Corrado...Nice looking car!
I would be out BUT, I laid er down about a month ago when I grabbed a handful of brake to miss a deer on my way to work. A little sand on top of asphalt caused me to get body slammed real quick like.
Got some body work I need to get fixed, and then I'll be back in the saddle.
Thankfully I had all my gear on and was only doing about 40 mph. Didn't lose any blood but had some serious sore spots, like a couple of ribs.
You guys be careful out there.

Is a meeting place and a ride in the works or were you just blowing smoke up our pipes?
I'll be working at the shop all day 9-4. Feel free to stop in and say Howdy!
I had plans to ride the K75 to pikes peak one last glorious time before posting for sale but weather might push that back. Ride safe all!
New rear tire for the Interceptor and I am ready to go, damn nails. Now if only the weather would cooperate with us.
Glad I got out last weekend, weather's going to crap until Monday!!
I'm going to try to get the wife's new bike home from the dealer between showers on Friday or Saturday. Wish me luck.

Looks like the past for sure.
Gas price is a big clue. Fricken liberal cok shuckers.
I picked up a little dual sport bike the other day. I usually prefer week day rides if anyone can get away.

I do Rampart a lot during the week. If you have any suggestions, I'm open to hearing any.

I can do Rampart on weekdays as well. Not on the 1190 though. I've got a 350.

Why not? We'll hook up and ride it this Spring or Summer.
That 200 I sold after getting the 300.
I ran every trail at Rampart last season. Supposed to be a few new ones added this year.

Don't be such a wuss... I rode to work today, and my commute is a lot longer than yours...[ROFL1]

Hey! I rode yesterday, getting back into the swing of things you know. It's good to be back on two wheels and this year I will ride more because the corvette is gone. No distractions now.

What did you have?
This was mine. I sold it about a year and a half ago.

I had a 1973 Stingray. Fun but I wasn't doing anything with it anymore so it found a new home.

Repairs and servicing complete ahead of schedule. Now I just need some free time to ride. And I'm really anxious...

Some decent weather wouldn't hurt either.

I've given up on 2 wheels in Colorado. Between the shit weather and the war torn roads around Colorado Springs it's just not worth it. There are pot holes bigger then my bike around here.

Yeah, I've ridden in a lot of places, it doesn't really get any better than Colorado. Pity the poor folks who live in Illinois or Kansas. :D

It's true. Colorado is a wonderful place to ride. Specifically, I benefit from living in west Loveland. I can be enjoying the twisties in the Thompson Canyon in less than 5 minutes from leaving my driveway. I'm selling my house and will be moving in a couple of months and one of the considerations is access to good motorcycle riding, One of the places would give me a runway in my backyard (quite literally) so that'd be fantastic for my aviation hobby, but it would take me 30+ minutes of crappy freeway riding before I could enjoy a mountain ride.
First world issues, I guess. This is the kind of stuff that single guys get to consider. No worries about school districts and access to "cultural events" and all that stuff... Purely what works best for my hobbies. The one place is in Adams county and is on 2 acres. I think I could figure out some sort of 100 yard range. Out of the city limits and **I think** I just need to make sure it's safe and the projectile never leaves my property, right? Hmm... One more plus for that property. But it'd still make riding less convenient...
