Recent acrimonious election where in new mayor and city council were elected. Town marshal was ally of old mayor so many think she promised him a nice severance ($12k) if he'd quit to flummox new mayor (so goes the rumor up there).

There's been a long standing argument in GMF as to whether they need a police force or not.

Some Good Ole Boy club crap in my opinion. It's not like the entire Westminster Police Department or Denver Police Department quit. That would have a much different effect and result.
