I was driving around near Cripple Creek a week or two back, on Highway 81, and saw this place. It looked like someone had just scraped some bays and berms over the winter.
Anyone have any information about this?

The website is pretty problematic ...

The dirt work you see now, the 100 yard bay with 20 positions, was completed just about a year ago.
Their ultimate goal/plan is quite nice and will have a 500 yard bay with 40 positions, a 50 yard small bore bay with 20 positions, a 25 yard handgun bay with 20 positions, 4 skeet/trap ranges with high/low and a 50 yard archery range with 20 positions.

As with many new venues such as this, funding is obviously the key to accomplishing the goals.
eta, just seen the website issue you speak of, I'll let one of the guys know about it.

Looks like a nice place to get involved with. Sometimes on Sundays, I take my kids down to Canon City to spend some time with the grandparents and head north on 15 to the public shooting range. May have to check this out.

I live just a couple miles away.
NRA membership and $200 just to apply for membership.
If they get the 500 yard range set up I'd consider joining.
