View Full Version : Where to sell high end shotgun?
I know you cant sell on here anymore due to private sale laws.
Can someone let me know of a good shop or two that handles higher end skeet shotguns? I only know of black gun or traditional stores.
Shotgun is a Beretta Silver Pigeon 20ga and I would assume there are shops that buy and sell these.
I am in Evergreen so I am looking for somewhere West like Littleton, Golden, Lakewood etc.
Thanks for your input!
Why can't you sell here? As long as rules are followed....

Good luck even getting 60% of book value selling it at a shop.

Per Gander Mtn, the silver pigeon is $1999 new, unless yours is something else. That really isn't "high end" here or even regarding shotguns... Post it here and see how it does. When you say "high end" i expect upwards of $5k.

yeah, me too.
A silver pigeon is pretty common, should be abel to consign that anywhere.
if you want a high end shotgun shop, in Denver, the place is M W Reynolds, well they were at Broadway and Hampden but looks like they are moving to downtown Denver.
That will get your drool on

Consignment at green mountain guns would be a good fit for that if you don't want to deal with it. Go on gunbroker and see what they SELL for not what people are asking.
I was thinking a 20k over under . Should be able to sell that here no prob

Yeah, I've been in their Broadway store a few times, pretty humbling to gaze at their guns and price tags. Hard to even imagine a 60K shotgun. Need to wander by their new location.

[oops], don't do it the addiction will begin and then it takes hold and then well your retirement fund is in a different form shall we say?
it's great, I've not been to the new shop.
Their prices are fair and their knowledge is impressive.

Another option to sell a target shotgun is at a range where people shoot them. I shoot a lot at Great Guns in Nunn and sold my Browning Ultra XS with Kolar tube sets there for $2,500.00 and it was gone in three days. I put up a "for sale" sign for a Browning 325 in 20 ga. and one of the employees there bought it on the spot for $1,500.00. Next up will be my Kolar Sporting, but at $6,000.00 I suspect it will take a little longer to move. Great Guns does not get involved in the sale in any way and charges no commission.
Sorry trigger happy and Ray. $2k IS higher end to some of us.... "$5k or higher" I meant higher then a $50 Montgomery wards single or your typical of the shelf $300 Remington.
I sure appreciate ALL input (even lessons in high end or not, HA!) [Beer] and didn't realize that we can still post for sale here.
Thanks guys!
