Alabama boy shoots intruder: 'He started crying like a little baby'
TALLADEGA, Ala. - A young boy shot an intruder in his Talladega, Alabama home and now he's speaking out.

11-year-old Chris Gaither said the intruder cried like a baby.
"I told him I was going to kill him if he didn't get out of my house," Gaither said.
He was was home alone Wednesday morning when he heard a noise.
Someone had broken into his house.
Scared, Gaither grabbed a 9mm hand gun.
"When he was coming down the stairs, that's when he told me he was going to kill me, f-you and all that," he said.
The intruder made it out the front door with a hamper in hand, which is when Gaither started firing off bullets.

As the intruder was about to jump a fence, the 11-year-old's 12th and final shot hit the bad guy in the leg.
"I shot through the hamper he was carrying," Gaither said. "it was a full metal jacket bullet. It went straight through the back of his leg. He started crying like a little baby."
A baby that learned his lesson.
"When I pulled the gun out on him, I guess he didn't think it was a real gun because he didn't worry about it," Gaither said. "He just kept on walking."
Police have not released the name of the suspect, but Gaither's mother said the man has robbed their house before. They don't know him personally.
Gaither credits his stepdad for his shooting skills.
"I hope you learn your lesson coming to this house, trying to steal stuff," he said.
The intruder was taken to an area hospital. His condition is unknown.

Not even the liberal journalists have any sympathy for the guy [ROFL2]

Well, it IS Alabama. If this happened in Chicago or New York or LA, theyi'd probably be writing about the irresponsible father who left a handgun within reach of a minor, the danger of him shooting 12 times, how the poor miscreant shooting victim had no choice because mean old Republicans wouldn't give him enough Welfare ...

If it happened in California either the kids would be dead or the parents in jail. F--k California.

Too bad his aim was not a little better.

Sounds like a bad shoot to me. Regardless of the age. It says he started shooting when the robber left the front door, and hit him while he was climbing the fence to flee.

Did I read right he stole a hamper? How bad are things when you're stealing someone else's dirty laundry. Kid needs to get to the range, 1/12 at close distance isn't much to brag about.

Also, I think I saw a movie several years back about a Crybaby criminal.

I say any time a robber gets shot it's a good shoot. To hell with the liberal left laws.

Alabama laws on shooting intruders is still rather liberal. Kind of like Nevada where it is still on the books that you have up to a mile to hunt down someone that breaks in your home.

I would have no problem stretching this to 1000 miles or one week.

We all know the rules of shooting at fleeing bad guys.

That said, this is pretty awesome. Love that the kid ended his interview with the "crying like a baby" comment.

Depends on the laws where you live. In some states, you can use deadly force to protect personal property. In those cases, if you don't want to get shot, don't take something that doesn't belong to you.

Never would have gotten this joke if my wife hadn't shown that movie to the kids last week.
