In our never ending quest to improve and expand the offerings at Colorado Rifle Club, there are a few new matches. On May 22nd, the
Grand ArMy of the frontier match
(cool enough to buy a new gun). The Sand Creek Raiders are running this one: http://sandcreekraiders.com/GAF%20Rules.htm
The 2nd one is a USPSA Rifle TEST match, June 4, Berms 7-12, 200. $10. This match is a test/interest match based on Semi-automatic rifles and carbines shot over action type courses of fire. Plan to shoot from 20-40 rounds for each of 4 stages at distances from 5 to 200 yards with dynamic movement. USPSA MG rules for rifle will be used for this match. Brad Olsen is leading the charge and is going to be seeking some people to assist him in running/managing this match with a permanent calendar date TBD. We will have a short meeting after the match to go over format, dates, ideas and see who is willing to help Brad run it.
CRC has spent a considerable amount of money to bring power to the East range which will allow a vendors midway as well as doubling the number of pads/hookups for RVs. We have built two safety areas and another one is underway. All berms now have permanent shade structures as well.
And, if you are eligible to shoot the American Marksman (www.ammarksman.com (http://www.ammarksman.com/)) match and have not shot the local qualifier...are you insane! There are several area indoor ranges hosting the local and you only have a few weeks left. The regional is at Colorado Rifle Club June 25 and 26. I still need ROs (paid $100/day) who also shoot for free, but only if they qualify.
Any questions, please send me a note.
