Post it in the EE. Look at current pricing go from there. If it were me i'd call a few Gold & Silver places, see what their OTD is per oz. Please don't be like my friend whose FIL paid $1600+ per oz , expecting to get your investment back.

However you sell it, do your research first so you don't short yourself or get ripped off. Check the current price of gold, know how much you have, and remember to factor the karat of the gold into the equation.

How much $$$ you get for the gold you have depends on what type of gold you have if its junk jewelry you are going to get less than if its gold bullion or mint coins. Erie gold and silver will be your best bet if you wanna sell local, honest no bs shop. Dont go to a we buy gold place unless you wanna get ripped off.

You don't...it's your retirement....you won't have social security.....

But a lot of the companies that sell gold and silver will buy it back at spot price. There are a lot of reputable companies out there. I have bought from several. One I like is provident metals dot com, mainly I like their different designs, but I have been very happy with their services.

By the time the OP actually decides to sell what he has. Gold will either be below $1K or over $1900.

Just post what you have , it's not like you're trying to move a rusted out C&R shotgun. [facepalm]

Yup, just post it. No shame in holding gold. Unless you're Gwyneth Palthrow.

It's pretty decent gold jewelry from what I've been told. I want to get it weighed and evaulated.

I'll check the place out in Erie
