Just drove past 70 and Sheridian and they have about 15 DPD officers out in front of a car show, a few had their evil black rifles out. Anyone know what's going on?

Some muzzy was pissed he wasn't allowed to enter his camel into the show and his sheep for a wife said bah bah to the security guard.

I'm curious too. Wonder how many people those evil black gun-murdered in the big-city utopia?

My guess is they were there to deter another event like at the motorcycle swap a few months back.

I don't know if the car scene is really like the motorcycle club stuff.

Depends on what type of group is holding it.

Perhaps like the troublesome group of FALers down at Whittington. [Sarcasm2]

This ^. There's been a real problem with the fart-can import street racers especially on I-25, they gather and block traffic in all lanes be slowing down and then take off at very high speed.

Don't know who put on this show mentioned but wouldn't be unheard of for thugs in cars to hang out at shows. When I worked in Arizona the joke was "it's not a gang, it's a car club". Riiiight. :D

I believe that kind of activity is called "roll racing", and it's stupid.

Let's say a high speed relative to what they were doing. I've never really seen that crowd do "a very high speed."

I'll concede 100 mph+ doesn't really qualify as "very" high speed-though including questionable driving ability does bring the potential for bad things up a notch or two.

Not even close.

It was the Colorado Street machines car club, the youngest member is in his early 60s, nothing like a biker gang.

I was there, two hit and runs within minutes, police went off two different directions chasing people down. Crashes had nothing to do with the car show, maybe just cause they were looking at our cars, but none of us there were involved in anyway, other than being eyewitness for the cops.

Oh, so it wasn't related to marijuana, import cars, people younger than whomever was commenting, street gangs, or anything else people don't like or are afraid of?

Well fancy that.

Thanks for setting me and the others straight, appreciate it. Sounds like it would've been a fun show, sorry to have missed it. Once summer starts every Saturday evening a club gathers at the Dairy Queen at Southglenn. I drop by on my bike to drool over some very nice rides.

Oh, the potential for huge badness is there, I'm just shocked they are hitting that speed. 100 can be "very" in my mind.
I might be thinking of a very different demographic, but I'm surprised if the 90s civics with mismatched body kits and unpainted spoilers are hitting those speeds although the cars easily did that stock. In the 90s when they were new.

Nationwide Productions is the car club down in the DTC that meets down at the microcenter...they do a bit of the I25 racing scene....
