Golden police say men went to wrong house in home invasion, stabbing

Police have arrested a man and a teenaged boy who are suspected of forcing their way into the home Monday night (http://www.denverpost.com/news/ci_29901513/several-people-stabbed-in-golden-home-two-suspects-atlarge) in the mistaken belief that it contained $10,000 and drugs.

Golden police are still seeking a third adult male involved in the home invasion and believe there is a fourth suspect, a woman who drove a getaway vehicle.

This is why I oppose all those "safe storage" requirements. Yes, opening the door at that hour was not smart. But so is not having a gun at your side in your own home.

With grow ops happening all over now, I hope we don't see more of this.

I work in Golden every day. In and out of customer's homes. I nickname it Wash park West. The " This is Golden, this is not supposed to happen here" cracks me up. Yes, you may have just bought a home, added onto the house, remodeled the hell out of it, walk your daughter in her fancy stroller drinking your Starbucks, but you still live in Golden. Walk out of your neat little pod of remodeled homes and take a stroll about 8 blocks north. Or south east. Some of the newbies to Golden are shockingly annoying with how clueless they are. This comes from experience, not just ranting.
