View Full Version : Hook N Shoot
We will have a batch of our newly named Hooked N Shoot's later this week. Shepard Hooks have been used for years to hang targets from. They are portable, simple and inexpensive. The downside is that they break easily. We solved that by making our Hook N Shoot's out of 1/2" AR500! MSRP:$30 We will also have a lite version (3/8" AR550) for $25.

Wuill that price include the shepherds hook as well as the plate?
Size of plates available?
Thanks
Roger
Hey Roger!
The price is for the hook only.
We have plates (3/8" AR550) available from 4"-14".
Is the hardness consistent throughout the piece? I would think that AR500 would crack/split at those sharp bends.
The hardness is consistent throughout, and we haven't had any issues with them. Our gen 2 model, (the one we now ship, has one less curve) I'll post a pic later.
We haven't had any issues with cracking or splitting. We radius all our corners (on all our targets) which tends to alleviate this issue.
Odd question for you: Usually armor type targets are on a frame stand that are connected via two points. Do you find any problems with ricochets with only the top center single connection? I.E. You shoot on the side of the plate, it spins/tilts and send the bullet off at an angle unaccounted for, etc?.... Or am I just overthinking things?
We shoot steel plates at raton hung by a single point suspended from the top all the time .
Cool, good to know. I never have, so not sure how much "swing" it would have. I'm just a lowly paper puncher.
Are these available yet? Sell them anywhere, or just online/phone order only?
Ima want.....
These are available! We have some stores up north here that have them in stock. Hopefully in the next 30 or so we'll have our first store in the metro area with in stock product. In the mean time, you can order through me here and I can ship them to you or meet up sometime!
Maybe you could get Murdoch's to carry your stuff. They're expanding their shooting inventory like crazy with guns, ammo, reloading supplies, targets, and all the associated goodies. Yours being local products might be a big plus to them, and they've got lots of stores around. Just a thought.
That's a great idea and something we've been working on!
Thanks!
