Title says it all, want a place to shoot Tannerite without getting in trouble.
You should try it in your garage. Probably be better than setting up in the living room.

Most ranges won't allow it. Best bet it to go up in the national forest (not sure of laws) or find a friend with some property.
Don't forget to bring a lawn mower.
Sorry, too soon?

Pretty sure it's not legal to set off tannerite in the national forest.

Pretty sure it's not legal to set off tannerite in the national forest. No dice in the NF. BLM maybe. Private land should be ok.
Ah, thanks for the clarifications folks... ouch.

Became illegal in national forest about a year ago. Which sucks. They said it causes fires. Blm I'm assuming is the same rule/law, but not sure.

I was told by a park ranger that people were living it unexploded in the national forest. They counted that as leaving bombs out int the woods.
I found a pretty good deal on the stuff for $135/50lb shipped. He threw in 10lbs free too.

Blm and pawnee are a no go, wife got bitched at by sherrifs deputy. let her and her friends off with a warning ticket. With that said every time we go out there people are shooting it.
It's allowed at BLGC.
Within reason.
I believe the ranch staff (B&B) has asked to be informed of any use.
Obviously, there are limits.
That includes NOT shooting it with a .50BMG at 50yds on the 600yd range. Yea, someone was called out for setting that up with a group of young'uns.

Rich Wyatt?
Rich Wyatt?
lolz.
No, they were shooting watermelons the day the chopper landed there.
Heard all the stories about it from all the members that were involved in that mess too, including the guy that owned the pair of Barrett M82A1's. I saw that handywork first hand. Shot both of them too.
