View Full Version : Best car upholstery cleaner?
Ok, so I'm a slob and have spilled coffee, tea and soft drinks on myself/driver seat, covered with whatever material GM uses in their fabric seats. What's the best product to remove the stains? Thanks.
Don't know, but I'm listening in.... My truck seats need it too, and so do our microfiber La-Z-Boy chairs and couch.
In my old truck I tried everything. Finally went to get it detailed and they steam cleaned the interior. Damn near pulled it all out, only one spot from where a bitch of an x spilled her coffee

What I use with the scrubber lid.
Most any carpet/upholstery cleaning solution used with an extraction cleaner will work well. Even a spray bottle with solution and a shop vac that can do wet vacuum will work. I use a Rug Doctor with with an upholstery attachment, an essential tool for a carpeted house, stairways, furniture and auto interiors. Sam's sells the Rug Doctor w/upholstery kit, and a good carpet cleaner at a great price.
One of the worst stains to get out is coffee because of the dark tannins that set quickly, worse than red wine or even blood. It might take repeated cleaning and drying for some stains. I find it's good to alternate cleaning formulas.

I just recently removed a carpet stain that was at least 10 years old with Oxi Clean. Just mix with warm water and let it set, says it's for all stains. I was impressed.
