Good Afternoon,

This is a reminder about theJeffco Public Shooting Range Community Meeting being held next Tuesday, May 31,6:00 p.m. at Ralston Valley High School in the cafeteria.

A fact sheet about the proposedJeffco Public Shooting Range has been added to the Jefferson County website. Youmay find it helpful to review prior to attending the Community Meeting.

Fact Sheet: http://jeffco.us/bcc/board-programs/shooting-range/

Thank you,

This was an email I got last week. I can't go, but thought I would post it if anyone else in JeffCO wanted to go but did not hear about it.

Having looked at at the current satellite view I'd be surprised if there wasn't a lot of push back from the new subdivisions in the area. There is a lot of building going on out there.

About 2 months ago I was reading a comment section where the info on the range was posted. 99% of the comments were from the people who live in the vicinity of the proposed range. Don't be shocked, but they were all against a range. A lot said it should be a water park or some other park. You know,,, for the kids. Water Park was a popular idea they all have. Gun range is a big no no for their precious little area.
A metric buttload of people have moved to that area from out of State. The bad liberal states. Not many Colorado residents want to move where there are toxic soils being disturbed by construction, or the breeze blows the toxic dust toward their new pretty home.

Looks like it won't be happening at that location. Hopefully they'll find somewhere for it though!

While I had some hope, I did not have much confidence. I still think the old dump to the NW of the I-70/C-470 interchange would be pretty good, but two attempts have failed.
