Looks like there's a JAX going in at the old K-mart at 120th and Sheridan. Is this the same outfit that pissed on gun owner's a few years ago ?

Of course they bring a Jax to the area once I move away. I like that store.....

Jax is my favorite outdoor store. Yeah they jumped on the "ban-wagon" a few years ago. I just stay out of their firearm department. Happy cause this one will only be about mile as the crow flys from home.

I thought this was about the fish place.

Fuck Jax and their "we'll do private transfers but only for Fudd guns" policy. I'd rather they not do them at all.

I thought you meant the city in Florida.

I avoid both.

Yeah, I rarely venture over to the firearm department, I mainly peruse the shoes, camping gear, and duty type gear.

Maybe if you are used to shopping Amazon, otherwise everything I've ever bought there has been on par with Sportsmen's and some of the other stores.

I transferred an AR lower in Jan through the one in Lafayette? They must have reverted their policy or they had no clue what it was as it was a stripped lower. :)

I refuse to shop there. The last time i was in the Loveland store right before the ban the guy at the counter was saying that the owners were pretty anti gun anyways. Jax and dicks are off limits when i go shopping.

Eh, to each their own. I think it's been said before on here, but if you actually knew the 2A stance of most businesses, I'm guessing your choices would be very limited.

Right. However being anti 2A and operating a franchise that sells items that basically support the 2A is a whole other thing. Just some libertal pansy asses trying to dip into our pockets.

Like I said, to each their own. Businesses can only dip if you let them, and it sounds like you've got that all squared away.

Ha! I still love Beavis and Butthead. That's just classic American entertainment right there.

Been delivering them everyday. Ranch & Home and Outdoor in same store. Told me they will open another store on the south end if this one does ok.

This thread will turn into 9 vs 45 pretty soon.

Or I only buy 'Mercia made.

Jax totally botched it in the firearm world. Never have bought a gun from them and never will. Mostly because the counter guys I delt with were morons and their prices were BS.

But, the rest of the store is awesome for the outdoorsman. 1 stop shopping. And they carry great gear.

We can go back and forth on the "support 2A businesses only" but let's face it, we'd all be making raising cattle, growing crops, making shoes, and sewing our own clothes. Shit, I'd have to divorce my wife cause she works for left leaning company, which is in every Jax store.

I restore real American steel cars. Like the real shit. Guess where my steel sheet comes from any more...???? Yup, China. Should I shut my business down because China doesn't support my gun rights??

It's the only place nearby where I can reliably find Federal SPP.

So did Jax sell? I remember when it was a military surplus store. Being anti 2nd Amendment, and starting out as surplus doesn't make sense to me, unless they sold out.

Long time ago, cowboy. IMO after they moved out of the store on hwy 14 it went downhill.

Fuck JAX and the horse they rode in on.

In this day and age of being able to easily get items to your doorstep why would you support a local company financially that doesn't support you?

Yes, but the difference was that JAX wanted my gun hobby business but wanted to tell me what I was supposed to buy.

Again, to each your own. Some of you can keep living by your solid as a rock principles, and the rest of us will keep shopping at Jax, just like there are still plenty here that shop at Dicks.

I don't understand your POV hurley. When there are so many better options for your hard earned $$, why give the $$ to a store where the owner openly believes ARs/AKs to be evil assault weapons? I had exactly that discussion with Mr Quinlan (Jax owner) on his FB page when the new bills were being heard, and so I'm personally familiar with his stance. He wants a new AWB.

JAX is on my way home and before their stupid stance I would probably pick up $20 worh of supplies every 2 weeks. I dont pick up the high margin targets, cleaners, etc there anymore.
But their gun prices are more reasonable than a lot of local stores and they end up with guns in stock that a lot of other shops did not have, ex 22/45. They are also the only store local to me with mil-surp, so ocassionally they have a lot of fun items.
I mostly stick with not spending my cash there, but do use it for browsing at stuff. But sometimes it is hard, like now they have a like new G3 set for like $15. Took a lot to put it down and walk away.

I will never spend a penny at Jax and I will encourage others to do the same and not shop there.

My principles are basically like my ass, bigger than I can carry and not very solid.
