Disclaimer: I don't really buy this, but I like questioning things. I'm posting this because it is an interesting thought experiment: What if we really are living in the greatest prison ever built? [panic]

Its post modernist claptrap ... but the glib cynicism is kinda fun.

I don't think you intended for that comment to be so telling... Are you by any chance from NYC? Seattle? Boulder, Co.? No? How about Berkeley, Ann Arbor? Surely, not Austin?

Naw, I'm from Kansas .... remember fuckin' Kansas?
(obscure movie reference of the day)

Anyway I think you are confused as to which side of post modernism I come down on.

The current situation (absurdness) of world politics, a dark humorous outlook for the future, where science and psychology had combined to create sort of a low grade dystopia seemed to be sort of a minor theme for movies in the early eighties. I think the election of Ronald Reagan really shook some people up.

Just imagine what they're going to do when Trump wins.

Correct conclusions but wrong political ideology blamed, again. The left keeps marching telling everyone what is ok to say, when to say, what to think etc unless you disagree then you are shut down.
