View Full Version : Milling G17 Gen 4 slide for Trijicon RMR
Title says it all. Looking to see if anyone has had a Glock 17 slide milled for a red dot, specifically a Trijicon RMR? Looking for local Colorado only and would love to hear from some END USER that had it done to give me a thumbs up and maybe share a pic of the work. Thx for playing...

FWIW: Burris has a fast fire 3 mount that replaces your rear sight.

This way If you don't like the RDS, you're not stuck .From the reviews here it seems to run 60/40 against a RDS. UNLESS you're competing . YMMV
Thanks for the response but I already have a Trijicon RMR 3.25 MOA red dot sight and I am looking to see who can do it and what it would cost to retrofit my G17 verses buying a brand new Gen4 MOS version firearm. I primarily shoot and compete in IDPA with a G17 with standard open sights (optics not allowed) however, I also have an M&P 9 CORE PRO that has my RMR mounted on it. I do like the optic but I cannot get that damn pistol to point for me due to grip angle. I have been shooting Glocks so long that I can close my eyes, bring it up and it is pointed right where I expect it to be. Plus the RMR sits higher on the M&P than it would on the G17 (from what I have read in articles comparing the CORE PRO with the Glock MOS). Anyways, just comes down to, buy a brand new Blue Label G17 or 34 MOS or, pay to have my current one machined.
