View Full Version : So Which one of You NRA Members Dumped this Girl

So guys I've been dating quite a bit lately and I had a lunch date today with this girl and this is how it went. It's was pretty fun and easy going for the first few moments and then we start talking about how dating is going after our divorces. She brings up that her last relationship ended with a text from a guy she had been seeing for a couple of months. Her opinion was that it was going pretty well. She thinks it's because of a comment she made about the NRA and being that he is a member she thinks he didn't dig it too much and dumped her. She then asks me if I was a member to which I said yes. The date kinda went down hill after that. Anyway, I was wondering if it was one of you guys that just dumped her by texting her? I keep smiling just thinking about this whole situation.

If the date went downhill after you admitted belonging to the NRA, she has a hangup I'd rather not deal with. You should buy the guy that dumped her a beer for exposing her insecurities and emotionalism.

In my dating days I know I converted a few from anti gun to pro gun. My wife was a hard core democrat. Took her shooting several times. As our relationship got more close I bought her a 9mm and a AR. For my wedding gift she bought me an AR10. At first she was very hesitant but as she realized how much fun shooting was she changed. 10 years now and no issues with my 2nd beleifs. She loves the fact that when were out and about I am CC. As I note I work in education, so I make it a point to take other fence sitting friends out to the range when I can. Nothing makes me more proud than when they join our ranks.

Also back in the dating scene. Feel for ya.

Most bizarre was young lady that thought 2A was an AA program. When I informed her what 2A was, she would have preferred that I was I was a recovering alcoholic or drug attic. Guns were bad. Guess where that went?

Heh, I thought about adding "but she's female so that's redundant" but we all know there are lots of guys like Pajama Boy and other Obamabots that suffer the same conditions but are allegedly male ...

I went out with a teacher a few years back.. things were going very well.. we really hit it off. We were having lunch and her family came up.. Dad and brother military.. her niece and nephew.. her other nephew who 'isn't quite right'... She's 'really worried that someday he will be 'that' kid who shoots up a school...'

Needless to say guns came up, been around them her whole life.. knows how to shoot.. doesn't think anyone should need to carry one.. blah blah blah.. things went WAAAAYYY downhill fast after that. Which really sucks..because she was actually pretty cool.. She wasn't liberal either, which left me dumbfounded.

Apparently my distrust of the world and the people in it, the want to defend myself and those around me should the need arise.. just put a stop to it all.

I will never pretend to understand women.

My first and second wives really aren't into guns but they don't have a problem with me being an enthusiast.

My first wife did kind of think I was a little crazy or paranoid at first but when violent convicts escaped from the nearby prison and were last seen heading into our neighborhood I think she was much more understanding. Hell, she even took comfort knowing I was armed.

Guess it takes a personal experience that strikes a small amount of fear into a person before they really understand. Unfortunately, the majority of people will never have a personal experience where being armed would make them feel safer so they just won't get it.

If women express negative views towards firearms I ask them if they've ever shot one. The answer is usually no or they shot a gun one time in their life on a camping trip.

The following date usually takes place at a shooting range and the shooting range is usually followed by a night of bow chick a bow wow.

Asking about guns on the second date is usually a good way to go because the shooting range for the third date is going to either close the deal or terrify them and who wants to date a chick that gets terrified by guns? Especially if you're someone who owns a cache of them..

Ukrainian women are great if you're looking for a woman that is violent, will divorce you as soon as they have citizenship and will take you to the cleaners for spousal support when it comes time to go to court. They prey on American men.

As far as the women and no interest in guns thing goes.. My experience is that they usually have no interest in guns because they've never experienced guns and once they've been given a taste of shooting most of them get hooked on it.

I consider Ukrainians in general to be expendable scum so no argument there. As far as women and guns.. I'd bet 9/10 women are either anti-gun or gunphobic given how susceptible they are to the news. Doesn't make for the good combination.

You just have to make sure to file for divorce 2 years and 11 months in. Spousal support is now statutory after 3 years of marriage.

We experienced a venomous anti-gun Cali beeatch last weekend at a wedding in S.D.
It came up ('cause it was my family doin' the wedding, and they know about us), she said "well, I certainly hope you carrying right now!!!". My choices were, at this point, let it go...not my first choice, or take the easy way out and show her to be the uninformed, ignorant, stupid, short-sighted, did I say ignorant? beatch she was, or risk alienating my sister-in-law, her BFF from kindergarten, possibly my nerd brother, and all the members of the wedding party. It was close there for a while... I was the bigger man. (You can take that any way you like). I did say, however when my trophy-wife made a not-so-politically-correct comment, that her comment wasn't "that politically correct", that politically correct BS was for perpetually offended, triggered, rainbow-farting unicorns, and I had no time for such elitist, progressive twattle-babble. So, I think I redeemed myself. God know I felt better!

You can always delete your posts.

What I have to manually delete everything ? The mods can't simply delete the profile and all related posts along with it?

Irving
06-27-2016, 15:59
Why do people ask to have their profiles deleted? Whether you are a current member or not doesn't change the fact that you were and you posted the things that you did.

SRG720

This thread reminds me of a gal I dated (or went on a few dates with, whatever you want to call it), I met her online (yes I did the online dating thing for a bit). After exchanging emails and later texts and phone calls, it was discovered that her employer was the Democrat party, yes the one down on Broadway. She was absolutely beautiful (looked like a Hispanic Taylor Swift), so I decided to take her out anyway.

Come to find out, she was one of the rare pro 2a Dems, and actually asked the process to get her CCW permit. We went on about 5 dates, but at the end of the day our ideals on many things were just too different. I'm not one for the whole machismo gun talk, or political talk on first dates, but if you don't talk about certain things eventually, you don't know what you are getting into.

The wife and I have been married for 31 years she hates guns, fishing, hunting and the out of doors. I love to do all of them, and have many guns we have lots of spirited discussions about 2A politics, she is a Dem I however am Rep.. It is the spice of life and the respect of each others opinions that make it fun, and man does it get fun in this house at times. The fun starts when me and my daughter starts talking about the constitution being a "living document" she is a ADA in metro area.

I dated a nice woman in my age range (50's). We enjoyed outdoor activities, biking, hiking, even went on a group campout. Never made it to first base, she cut off all contact after she found out I was a Climate Change Denier. LOL, found a nice one a few weeks later, she's more in tune with my right-wing, Christian, gun owning roots. She even voted for Glenn (CO Senate).

In my experience (admittedly, a long time ago) it's best to poke a bit and get the big (possible) differences out in the open sooner than later. Not only is it beneficial to find out your date's point of view on politics, religion, hobbies, and ethics; you learn where the line is crossed, whether they have a similar sense of humor, and if they can deal with differences in an adult manner.

If not, kick them to the curb and rebait your hook. Life is too short to try to "change" the other person or yourself. :)
