Have CCI400 primers. Most web searches indicate to use the 450 magnum or 41 hard cup primers for an AR. Anybody run 400s, and did you have issues?

I load CCI 400 in my .223 reloads and run them through my ARs. Haven't had a problem. I also use Tula small rifle primers, KVB223. They have always gone bang and I've not had a slam fire with either.

Other than seating issues, no. The ones i've loaded (4K) went bang, with same POI results.

Just keep a sharp eye out for protruding primers.... Even marginally high ones. Or you may experience a slam fire........

Thousands and thousands and thousands without incident. 450 is the same cup, just a hotter / magnum primer. 41's are a harder cup, magnum primer (I'm starting to really like these with CFE-223).

You should always pay attention to seating depth.
