An acquaintance from work has a relative her that is moving to Kansas City and needs to sell her Harley Davidson in Highlands Ranch. I'm not invested enough to research forums myself and advised I'd provide the name of a discussion board where she might have luck selling her bike. May I get a few forum names to pass along please?

That was my initial thought as well. I've seen guys recommend bike forums on here before I thought, but couldn't remember any of them.

Think armslist vs here - people here know more & will pay less.

Um, what kind of HD? Painting a huge topic with a pretty small brush. Year/make/model please. Photos would help. Just put it up for sale here. Unless it's just a typical girl's Sportster.

I sold the wife's bike through word of mouth. Mentioned it to a few people and one of them was interested and bought it.

There are several groups on facebook, like several here have said post it here, there may be some interest.

Cosportbikeclub.org Yeah, it's a sport bike forum, but there's a number of cruiser riders

Ouch, glad I sold my '06 XL1200R that had 95 hp, 93 ft lbs of torque (courtesy of Big Dan at NRHS in Longmont) and smoked all the "big" slow v-twins I came across. Hell, it'd definitely whoop my current '14 FXDF [ROFL2]

Anyway, I'd have to agree with CL though there's a pretty decent sized group from the front range on HD Forums.

Guys/gals on bike forums usually already own bikes. Craigslist.

Guys/gals on gun forums usually already own guns. Doesn't mean the trading post here doesn't work to sell something. Just saying.

Even people who already own bikes can be looking to upgrade or looking for a second bike or looking for a bike for their spouse or kid.

Thanks guys. I'm not going to put it up on here, because I don't know this person well enough to get the info, nor do I care if the bike sells or not. I just got a text message and told them I'd ask my friends where they'd sell a bike. I can use the info provided so far.

Trying to sell anything as a new member of a forum really doesn't go well. 1 post, no feed back and only there to sell something [fail]
CL is their best bet.

Well now, that wasn't a girls Sportster, now was it? As in basic 883 weaklings. Ain't nothing wrong with Sportys, they make great hotrods. They can be a bit lacking in comfort is all. I prefer an old Shovelhead myself.
