For those of you who made the expensive decision to run an MWS308 I may have a solution to running it suppressed. I got some advice from the guy at heavybuffers.com. I have a new x heavy buffer that seems to relive the pressure. SAFriday saved my butt again by helping with the pain in the ass install ( again ) and it runs like a top with an TB CB7.

Clint's buffers are fantastic.

They aren't cheap, but they are worth it.

Will tell my buddy about this, he is still struggling with finding a solution for his MWS 308. Thanks for sharing

Are you running the factory gas block?

IIRC mws has a proprietary size/design gas block so there is no possibility to install a aftermarket adjustable gas block

Ya they do. I believe its pressed on. I've been reading on some forums of some people custom fitting an adjustable block though.

It'd be nice if LMT would offer one!

It's possible. .875 gas block should work. You will need to press off the factory GB though.

I didn't think it was doable neither. I belong to a KAC owners group on FB and a guy posted a pic of his MWS with a PRI .875 adjuststable gas block. He consulted with LMT direct and Gene himself told him it would work. I've since purchased a Superlative adjustable gas block to try it out myself, but couldn't bring myself to remove the beautiful factory GB. Instead I will use the Superlative GB on another barrel and will continue to run the Sun Devil ADIGS to help regulate the gas flow. I believe a Gemtech suppressor BCG will work as well. Bottom line is your buddy has options.

Nice looking rig and a well thought out setup, how does it run with the saker?
What is your POI shift with a can ?
BTW: My buddy got a gemtech carrier for his rifle, so far he likes it.

Very Nice setup BF! Do you do your own loads for it? My ejection pattern is still crazy with my can I. TB 30CB7. I've almost given up on getting all of my brass back it goes so far. I put a piece of felt in the deflector to keep brass damage at a minimum.

I swear by Heavybuffers especially in my MWS. I run it in a 556 as well and think it runs a lot smoother. Well worth the price as they're not all that expensive but worth the price for sure. Plus the knowledge and help with any questions Heavybuffers will tell you what weight to get for your rig.

MGI makes adjustable "Regulated Gas Tubes" for AR15/M16 rifles. I don't know if they will work on a .308 rifle. It might be a easy semi-cheap way of deciding if you want to go through the effort of changing to an adjustable gas block. I don't know if anybody else make them.
