Ban guns is the call from the left.

Japan knife attack: 19 killed and dozens wounded (https://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/jul/25/tokyo-knife-attack-stabbing-sagamihara)

People have been killing other people as long as...there have been people. Passing laws does nothing but impede the law abiding.

At least 19 people are reported to have been killed and another 26 injured after a man went on a rampage with a knife at a Japanese facility for disabled people in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Japan’s public broadcaster NHK said a suspect had been arrested after he attacked residents of the Tsukui Yamayuri En (Tsukui Lily Garden) facility in Sagamihara in Kanagawa Prefecture, south of Tokyo.

Japanese media reported that staff at the facility called police at 2.30am local time with reports of a man armed with a knife on the grounds.

When authorities arrived they confirmed at least 15 people had died with four more people in cardiac arrest according to media reports. Japan’s Kyodo news agency has put the death toll at 19 which if confirmed would be one of the worst crimes in Japanese postwar history.

In a closed page on FB, we try to pick the first name of the person who did the attack. Mohammed has been the number one pick for the last half dozen. I'm thinking this one will change things up.

I had a guy at work yanking my chain by saying "I think ALL guns should be banned and confiscated so no one gets killed". While I know he doesn't actually believe in what he was saying, I pointed out all of the times in the last few years I've heard of where someone used a bladed instrument to kill people. I hadn't heard about todays event yet.

This is just more tragic proof that the tool isn't what kills people - it's peole with evil in their hearts.

It just goes to show that the tool used doesn't dictate the deadliness of the encounter. The human mind is still the greatest weapon out there.

The human mind combined with an evil heart and a twisted ideology.

Why the fuck would they let this guy out of being involuntarily committed, after he laid his plans out for them as to what he planned to do? I can't imagine being the family member of one of the disabled people in this facility, anxiously waiting to hear if I lost someone to this twisted asshole, who thinks it's okay to 'euthanize the disabled.'
