It's not enough these days. That's why (if possible) my CCW will help me fight my way back to my car where I can access my long gun.

Wow... way to give bikers a bad name (the guys doing wheelies, blatantly speeding, and diving across lanes). Not to mention the article's description of them blocking the interstate. That's just rage-inspiring.

Screw those bikers. They did nothing to help their cause. First off, you don't even have signs telling people WHY you're jamming up i25? Instead, you start stuntin' your bike in the middle of the highway. What a joke. I guess blocking traffic is now the cool way to show your cause. Thanks BLM.

Aside from the bikers (our neighbor saw a whole mess of NY and NJ Hell's Angles at near my neighborhood the other day) ... looking at whats gone down in Europe lately. I dunno, there's days I think I need to just build an AR pistol and get a shoulder rig and mag carrier vest for it :p

I really don't get the reference of guys riding like idiots to a deadly threat. What about their actions could need a ccw?

Re the new York video. The suv went road rage against the bikers. Theyre both to blame for that one. Don't do stupid shit with stupid people.

Gonna bring awareness of the dangers they face by doing stupid and dangerous things on the highway! Darwinism at work! Hopefully continued "awareness" will help thin the herd.

About a year ago. One driver in an SUV drove through the protestors and was not charged. Seems to me that if I am in a functioning vehicle, it is a pretty effective weapon. My CCW would be reserved to make certain that no one enters my vehicle.

Know where you are and have a plan to get away from the danger.

Be safe.

That New York vid cracks me up. What a bunch of idiots. Tactical advantage is in the car that can easily drive over the bikers. Also, getting off the bikes to attack the car, forcefully opening the door, then breaking the windows is a great way to invite some lead in your diet. Car driver could have easily said his life was being threatened and pew pew pew.

I didn't see anything in the I-25 vid that would've had me wondering if I had enough ammo on me. Yes the riders were assholes for shutting down the highway, Darwinism will thin the herd for that type of riding behavior. Better ways to get their message across and being taken seriously.

Not much different than the racer boy assholes in their fart-can muffled import cages that were pulling that shit on I-25 up to a couple of months ago.

Try not to paint with such a broad brush, will you? I ride a "crotch rocket" and the only time I ride in a group is for an event that actually tried to paint motorcyclists in a good light, like the MC-1 Foundation run. Otherwise, I like to ride for the fun of it, not showboat like an idiot that just wants to play with his life.

All that being said, I think they really destroyed their message by being jackasses. Maybe not all of them were like this, but they need to nip that crap in the bud. Not all who ride those kind of bikes are like this, but the fact that they were able to shut down I-25 is the reason I don't associate with many who do ride the same style of bike as I do. I would prefer to live to see retirement.

Like Ronin, I too prefer sport bikes (crotch rockets) but I don't condone the behavior of the clowns in this video. I ride to my ability and certainly don't perform stunts. That's a fast way to end up in a pine box.

Indeed! I've even stopped riding in small groups unless I know who I'm riding with, after nearly crashing into a guy who decided to pull an endo in front of me on a side street.

Seriously? Ever hear of "road rage"? How about "mob mentality"?

Bikers perceive innocent driver was trying to cut them off/slow them down when he was only trying to merge right as a safety precaution. After bikers surround car and slowly bring it to a stop...

Biker: WTF man?! You f'n cut us off and we almost crashed!

Driver: I was just trying to get over to the right lane to let you guys through.

Biker: Get the F out of the car MF'er!

Just carry a knife, then you can cut off the head after you shoot them. It will keep the rest away from you until the police can help you. Just my survival opinion...might not be legal. Plead choice of two evils.

Personally, I always try to give scooters more space when I see them on the road. That said I would have to say I am seeing more dickhead bikers than considerate bikers. Just saw two weaving in out of traffic, riding the line on I-25 yesterday. There are plenty of videos out there of scooter boys thinking that breaking the law is awesome.

Professionally, I have scraped more than a few of these cockroaches off of the street, then went back to eating my ice cream and watching cartoons. Number of Fucks given = 0

The original message gets diluted real quick I'm sure. Friends invite friends who invite acquaintances and so on until 200 bikers show up each trying to impress the other with their biker boi skillz. I'm betting more than half had no idea there was even a message to begin with. MEET AT SONIC AT 11:30 FOR A GROUP RIDE

I also ride a super sport, and I was even aware that this get together was going to happen.

I don't get involved with these mass group rides, especially when they want to look like the "rebels" or "hoodlums". I am part of a small group that gets out and rides the canyons, not flat roads. Let's be honest, flat roads like 25 are boring. We don't necessarily follow the speed limits, but we are courteous and safe.

Re the new York video. The suv went road rage against the bikers. Theyre both to blame for that one. Don't do stupid shit with stupid people.

It started with one of the bikers break checking the suv...which resulted in the bike getting run over because a bike stops way faster than an suv ever could...then the bikers attempt to attack the suv over it...I don't see road rage from the suv in that.

All that story does is inspire me to run over a biker. I have owned and rode bikes my whole live, but stopping traffic and being an ass in the middle of the highway does not help anybody’s cause. However unlikely, there may have actually been people stuck on the highway that had a life and some place to be.

No matter how much they want it, the world does not revolve around them. Regardless of how good they are at riding a scooter, a younger dumber and more full of cum idiot always shows up to prove there’s always somebody braver (dumber).

Wonder if they got trophies for participating as little kids and told their whole lives how special they were. As a life long motorcyclist (well, 48 years so far anyway) that attention getting bs just pisses me off. I generally ride alone or with no more than 4 other riders. Never in a big pack with riders I don't know because as already mentioned the unknown level of riding experience or "dickheadedness" is not worth it to me.

As we saw in France, a vehicle can be a very effective weapon. Just like a gun, knife, or claw hammer, a vehicle is a tool that can be used in a number of helpful and harmful ways.

Back in my yoot I had 2-3 riding buddies and we rode together like fighter pilots in formation, nearly always in perfect synch, instinctively doing the same thing at the same time. Nowadays, I prefer to stay the hell away from everybody else.

I saw some Hell's Angels doing this yesterday and it was impressive. They rode in a tight formation and when the lead guy made sure there was enough room for a lane change for all of them, he'd go, and the rest would instantly follow. The guys in back wouldn't even look to make sure it was clear, because they were trusting to the lead to have made sure there was room. It looked pretty impressive and was very effective because they'd make lightning quick lane changes before traffic could change around them. Looked like a school of fish or a flock of birds. Doubly impressive when you see humans do it.

I do ride in groups at times and there is always restrictions or rules while riding in the groups. I'll say I ride a internationally built lazy boy because their are no bikes made only in America. EVERY PERSON that was riding careless should pay the price in that group. For what ever department that aloud this to continue, do your damn job and take about an hour and get on Youtube, you can get all the plate numbers you would like. I was riding with a group from Kansas and two guys where asked not to ride with us because they were pressuring the other riders and thought because they had badges from another state that they could do 70 going up 285 in the canyons, they later complained at are camp that they were ticketed by CSP. they got what they had coming to them. If the " investigators " would do there job in Denver they wouldn't need a press release to find these rode stains.

B.S to the no bikes made statement. In regards to my motorcycle, all of the parts may not be made in the USA, but the major parts are, those parts are assembled here, and the home office is in the USA. Back to the subject, I never did see any behavior in the video which warranted gunplay, or even a display of a gun. Yeah they blocked the highway, but that is not any reason for firearms.
