View Full Version : Dang it!
Sorry for the harsh language in the topic. :D Just as I figured out the extra funds to get my dream revolver the scoot needs new tires!! Yeah when you've only got 2 don't mess around LOL. Getting them put on Saturday morning and then take it real easy for a few miles. Now I really need to move that little S&W 19. [panic]
**To be clear I had an issue with the front picking up a very long nail, was hoping to go another month or so before replacing them**

You just noticed your ride needs tires ?
Didn't just notice, but had an unexpected issue with the front and feel it's best to replace them together.
RATS!!
When I rode motorcycles I'd replace them both at the same time.

Depending on tread depth and ability to get a matching front tire. Then again, still being early in the riding season, better here than on the road.

Then Re-update your ad & change it from withdrawn status and put all the information back in............ And of course add in your "PANIC" must sell pricing......
I don't replace mine in pairs unless they need both. Maybe if it was some kind of sport bike I would but I've never noticed any adverse handling characteristics just replacing a front or rear tire on my cruisers.

Wait... Tires on MCs need to be replaced?
...to get my dream revolver...
So, share? What is it?
O2
When I road a bunch I would get 2 rears for every front. Age of tires is important as tread. I bought a lower miles BMW when I was young that had tires from the 70's on it. It was the mid 90's. I've been without a cycle for 5 years now, so i must live vicariously through your tire quest.
Well the rear was wearing too and in another month or so I'd need to replace it so it's just easier to do them both now.
And the dream gun is a duplicate of my first duty gun-S&W 66-1, 4", in original box etc. in excellent condition. A friend has it, knew I was on the hunt and made me an offer I couldn't refuse. He may take the 19 but I may just keep it if my plan works out bawahahahaha.
Head down to Federal and get a set for like 50 bucks.
Won't be new, but they'll work.
Old dog with old habits, 48 years of riding-I don't go cheap on tires for a motorcycle LOL. Already got them anyway haha.
For some reason I thought you were talking about a car.
No worries, all good. When I was a kid I worked at a car dealer, would get my dad super deals on the take off tires. Good times!
