Finally got a chance to shoot my recently-acquired Sig P220 Elite in .45. Runs fine with 230 ball, 230 HP and even 200 gr SWC. Nary a hiccup.
BUT it shoots about 3" to 4" left at 15 yards. The elevation adjust works fine, I can see it move but don't seem to know the combination on the Windage adjustment and all findings on the 'net are inconclusive and often controversial. Even the online owner's manual is unclear for what damned little info on the subject.

Is the windage adjustment actually obtained with the two forward holes on either side? The pin looks to be a roll pin without the six-sided allen wrench access, the allen wrench I do have that will enter the opening just spins around. Or does the entire rear sight actually have to be physically moved, within the groove, to the right using the '$pecial tool'?

Thanks

Please post up a picture of the rear sight.

Disregard, thanks.

I spoke with a gunsmith at Bristlecone and he said the whole rear sight has to be eased over in the groove, using their fancy tool.
Kind of a mickey-mouse arrangement for something represented to be an 'adjustable' rear sight. Elevation yes, windage...not so much.
My Boresight says it's right-on, maybe I'll just have to learn to shoot it. ;->

I'm actually looking for a P226 Legion in 9 mm with SRT and night sights. I've already got four .45's, don't really need another one anyway.
