View Full Version : New roof? Get an AR 15!
http://kdvr.com/2016/07/30/company-offers-get-a-roof-get-a-gun-promotion/
On Saturday, James Webb announced a “Get a Roof, Get a Gun (https://localtvkdvr.files.wordpress.com/2016/07/get-a-gun-brochure.pdf)” promotion, offering to give an AR-15 rifle to any customer who purchases a new roof.
This make me smile:
But gun control advocates remain furious, including State Rep. Rhonda Fields.
“It is very troublesome to me that someone would want to increase business by offering an incentive to a get a new roof by getting a gun,” Fields said.

Local TV station reported this last night.
Much hand wringing and implying disastrous evil to come.
Same old media propaganda.

How the hell did she get so much of the damn vote in the elections last month?

Gee, you think anybody would get all uppity if they offered a truck instead?
If they offered free ice and water shield on the eaves and in the valleys and a free ridge vent, I'd be game.
My roof after last Thursday's storm :(

People always seem to vote in incumbents no matter how bad they are. Obama is a prime example. Most people cannot think for themselves and will not bother to do any research on the politicians running, so they just choose a name they already know.

.... ever notice how a lot of those roofing guys drive nice beefed up (mini) monster trucks?
Loads of cash in that type of business, I'm sure they replace 50% of roofs that don't really need it. Insurance companies suck it up and rates increase.
Sounds great though!!
Average profit on a roof is about 40-50% I believe. Part of driving trucks like that is just to look successful. It's the opposite for adjusters. You get into trouble if you show up in too nice of a vehicle.

I have no problem with it.
I wouldn't mind a new AR! As long as our vehicles didn't get all beat to hell too.
And fuck Rap Sheet Rhonda, that busybody douchebag.....
It just so happens that I'm in the market for a new roof. We've somehow managed to miss every hail storm that had the umph to do damage but the shake roof we have still needs to be replaced. Guess it'll be on my dime.
Roofing houses is what made me finish college. Got educated so I'd never have to do that job again.

Just called and scheduled for here in the Springs. Hey, can't wait to see my new gun! Ha
Bummer. I just had a new roof and gutters installed a few months ago.
