I recently attended the Kenaz Tactical 2-day course in Colorado Springs. The class was held at Dragon Man's Range. Chief Instructor is Robert Butler.

Class Outline:

Day 1: Pistol (My weapon of choice for the class: Gen 3 Glock 19 with Lone Wolf Barrel - Ammo used: (My reloads) 115 gn Berry's round nose)

Obviously safety was covered first, then Robert covered proper grip, aiming, trigger & breath control, then it was on to dry fire drills.
Then we started off live fire with a 7-yard dot accuracy drill. Slow, precise shot placement. This helped the instructor see how proficient people were with the fundamentals of marksmanship.
My target below:

Once it was established everyone had the accuracy drill down, we moved onto malfunction drills. This was done by people loading each others mags with live rounds mixed with snap caps. The only malfunction which was not covered was the devilish double-feed. Not sure why and I honestly forgot to ask.
Once malfunction drills were completed we broke for lunch. After lunch we started working on shooting & moving. This also covered some dominant hand shooting. Non-dominant hand shooting wasn't covered extensively but it was discussed.
Then...the rain decided to pay us a brief visit and turned the range into a bit of a mud pit. So we worked through it and ended the day with some barricade drills and calling out specific numbered & pictured targets.

Day 2: Rifle (My weapon of choice: 10.5 Spike's Tactical SBR - Ammo used: (My reloads) 55 gn FMJ along with some American Eagle .223 in 55 gn.)

Again, we started out with safety and proper handling of our rifles. All students were running AR platforms in 5.56 with the exception of 2 people who had AR's in 7.62x39.
Robert gave instruction on proper transition from rifle to pistol.
Once it was determined everyone had safe handling skills, we immediately went into shoot & move drills.
After that was accomplished, we started on shoot & move from multiple barricades all while advancing on targets. We broke for lunch after this.
After lunch, we then worked from Robert's "Zombie Apocalypse" truck. This was a load of fun. We started out seat belts on and on the command of "threat" we opened up a can of whoop ass on the targets with our handguns, then while the driver covered the passenger, the passenger would exit the vehicle, shooting his way back to his long gun in the rear of the vehicle. Once the rifle was acquired, you would load it and move to cover and begin engaging targets while the driver fought back to his long gun. Once that was achieved, the passenger would then move to a barricade on the other side of the driver and bounding from there.
We ended the day with a move & shoot from barricades while someone called out targets for you.

Pros:
Well rounded instructor who was able to keep the class engaged in learning.
Reasonable round count for both days. It certainly didn't break the bank. I believe I dropped 400 rounds of rifle and about 350 rounds of pistol ammo for both days.
Regardless of skill level, everyone learned something.
Students were safe and everyone had fun.

Cons:
Robert was the only instructor for 15 students. His assistant was called away for work otherwise he would've been there.
Rain makes the range a mud pit.
Other jack wagons at Dragon Man's on other berms were firing recklessly and skipping rounds over the top of their berm. Not a safe range IMO.
No steel targets allowed at Dragon Man's range.

So, $200 covered both days and it was well worth it as far as I'm concerned. I would love to take more classes from Kenaz Tactical.

Nice review, thanks for takeing the time to report back. Sounds like if you were at a private range it may have been better.

If you keep shooting him through the same hole might as well stop wasting bullets.

I agree. Maybe if they open up range down that way where Robert can get a spot to hold his classes, it would be much better.
