Well Texas wasn't a great experience and about a month ago we decided enough is enough. The traffic and weather are unbearable by my standards. Anyways, I accepted a very good offer this week and the house goes on the market 9/1 which leads me to a few questions.
1. Mag ban- what's the current thought on me bringing my mags back? Can someone who is currently a resident elsewhere bring mags into the state and have them grandfathered ? I know, it's dumb I'm even asking but I am.
2. We will be looking at a rental for 1-2 years, neither of us want to deal with the mortgage process right now and we are looking to be up there 10/1 so we don't really have the time either. If anyone has leads on a rental in south Denver I'd be all ears. We are primarily looking to go back to highlands ranch but I could be swayed. We are looking to downsize considerably after dealing with a 3,000 sq ft place with a pool down here. Something in the 1600-2000 sq ft arena would be ideal, 2 bedroom min with 3 being ideal. Townhouse or single family, I wouldn't mind not having to maintain a yard for a year or 2 as well.
i appreciate any replies as always.

Any magazines >15 rounds that you owned before July 1, 2013 you can still own (doesn't matter where on the planet you lived at the time). Any magazine you acquired after July 1, 2013 is verboten.
Burden of proof is on the state to prove the magazine was not in your possession before that date.
The law is an ass.
Renting is a good idea because after November you may be looking to leave CO again (unless you like socialized medicine)

Not if they are relocating from out of state.

Hopefully you left most of them in that storage locker that I'm sure you had here in Colorado the entire time you were gone... [Coffee]
You moved? I didn't even know.
Stay out of the City of Denver. Denver has a 20 round maximum mag limit.

worse than I imagined, worst part is there's not many places to shoot outside unless you own land hours away.

I wasn't sure if you meant Denver Metro area or City of Denver. Welcome almost back.

Another myth of TX living. Plenty of places to shoot. If you're not a large land owner , or know someone who is. You're SOL when it comes to shooting anywhere besides a public or membership range.
I have to go back to that Denver 20rnd mag limit...if it's 15 in the State...how would Denver, the poster child of onerous regulation, allow 20???

Denver had the 20 limit long before the state went to 15, and there's no grandfathering in the Denver 20 round limit IIRC.

Sign Virginia up for that, too.
Welcome back. Bunch or places in Highlands Ranch just depends on budget and what you want.

haha, I'll have a bunch for sale when I get back. I've been stockpiling stuff down here that I don't use anymore and the local forums suck to sell on, if all goes as planned we should be up there in 5 weeks.
Do you have any advice to help people who've recently moved here realize they want to go back where they came from?
