Good day all!

I wanted to let all you folks know that I am now a licensed real estate broker! I am pretty darn excited to be doing this as a career now, it's always been a passion but never anything I had time to do full-time. Well recently I was gifted a large amount of free time by my job in the energy industry, so I decided now is the time to go for it.

If you or anyone you know is looking to buy, sell or invest in real estate, I would be honored to help with any real estate transactions!

PM me for my full contact info, thanks!

-Rusty

*Mods, if this is supposed to be in a different forum my apologies. Also, this is not intended to solicit buyers or sellers already under contract with another broker*

A fee to the company that owns the word realtor

Congratulations! But what's the difference in a broker and realtor?

Realtor just a designation that a broker can get from the National Association of Realtors. If you pay the ~$500 a year, go through their ethics class and adhere to their ethics codes then you can call yourself a Realtor and advertise with the Realtor logo. That being said I am also a Realtor. But I feel like it's more of an industry designation than anything because most people use broker/realtor/agent interchangeably when referring to what we do.

And thank you all for the congrats!

Congratulations buddy! I recently made the same decision after a lengthy stint in real estate investment and a recent (as of last week) job offer has redirected my focus away from becoming an agent. I had submitted fingerprint cards and everything and all that's left for me is to pass the test. This other offer was too good and it looks as though my desire to be a real estate agent for the last couple of decades will once again move to the back burner. You've picked a great time to get involved and once things ramp up in the spring you'll be full speed and ready to go. Awesome man!
