I am wanting to come out and shoot Sat and have some questions. 1st one is do I need a concealment vest to shoot?
2nd one is I have shot many matches in Arizona. What kind of proof do they want that I have shot IDPA before.

If you have a Colorado CCW permit, or one that Colorado recognizes, it is encouraged. If not, then no, you do not need to have a concealment vest or other garment (it would be against state law), but with the expected weather, you may have one anyways.

You will need to attend the first time shooters meeting at 8:00 am regardless. There are some Clear Creek County Sprotsmans Club range rules and some specific FRIDPA rules that you will be informed of during the shooters meeting.

NOTE - CCCSC Shooting Range is a cold range. Firearm is to be unloaded and no magazine (Revolver - empty), safety on/hammer down (either holstered or in a case/range bag). The only time that your firearm will be loaded and ready to fire is when you are on the line ready to shoot.

Come on up and enjoy!

Is it really illegal to use a concealment rig AT a shooting range?

Uh, ya. What's with that?

Also, new shooter's class even though he's shot IDPA before?

Just curious here.

I've shot USPSA for years, but never IDPA. We haven't required a safety orientation for shooters with a USPSA membership number and shot previously at other locations. Not trying to stir the pot or anything, just curious is all.

We dont make the laws... It doesent make sense, its a shooting range after all. But we cant and wont require people to conceal a weapon.

The class is **not** required as he has already shot IDPA elsewhere.

From the web site FAQ

How often are the new shooter intro classes offered?
“New to IDPA” shooter classes are offered prior to every FR IDPA Match and are free of charge. We do ask that you contact us to let us know that you will be coming. Show up by 8:00 and we will have someone available to run you through the ins and outs of IDPA. If you have an IPSC classification or have proof that you have competed in an IDPA match somewhere else, the class is not required.

My apologizes. I interpreted the requirements incorrectly. I was concerned that the FRIDPA specific rules/variations as well as the requirements of the range that we are allowed to use are only covered in the first time shooters meeting.

As a guest shooter from another club, it would be courteous to inform before hand.
