Hello to all,
I'm really new to the AR platform and though an avid hunter, have never owned or shot an AR. I was able to play around with one a couple of weeks ago, and we have access to some prairie dogs to shoot so I thought I'd jump in the AR pool.

Being new, I've been doing a lot of reading and was happy to see a Colorado based AR forum! This and other forums has been great in educating me on the many variants and I'm excited to begin the journey. Last week an order was placed with PSA for a Freedom rifle kit and an upgraded trigger and will be sourcing a stripped lower locally to begin the build. I plan on keeping things simple and end up with a middle of the road rifle topped with a 4x12 vortex scope for the dogs and possibly a red dot for plinking and home use.

Thanks for the forum and the valuable resource.
Brett

Welcome, join the fray.

Several local gun shops are members of COAR15 and can help get you on the right track for AR parts.

Forgot to add, keep an eye on your AR's. They tend to multiply like rabbits. Sometimes even causing pain, stress and frustration in the wallet.[emoji33] [emoji6]

We have found that extra parts left over from a build(no matter how small) can cause this multiplication phenomenon.

So if you need you can send all left over parts to me.

Thanks for all the welcomes. I tend to jump right into new things and typically find myself spending too much time and money . lol
I'm in between jobs at the moment so I'll have to be mindful of spending too much for now. lol
