View Full Version : Admin banned IP adress message.
Just got the Admin has banned your IP address message a while ago. Contacted Admin via message board and got a hold of one of the staff( Thomas ) and within 20 minutes or so like magic back up again.
I'm not to server savvy or anything but I have to take my hat of for the Staff for keeping this site up and running. I could only imagine what frustrations they have trying to fix something at any given time.

Took me a few to fix, as I was banned myself. Should be good to go now.
Might need to upgrade my text limit for this month with Verizon. A *few* people made sure I knew there was an issue over text.

Whew. I was racking my brain trying to figure out who I had pissed off! Sent a panicked text to Dave, Then Mike said he was banned too, so I knew it had to be a glitch. Nobody would ban Islandermyk!

Same thing here, I sent a message through Facebook, and was planning on texting Dave or Chuck in the morning to find out if I'd pissed off the wrong person.
haha, I sent an IM to jerrymrc on another board...and whined on bookface.
Thought I had his digits and email but gmail let me down.

LOL. I did the same. Figured it was some sitewide error. I've been very well behaved lately.
Its been a while since I had a night cap but my first reaction was to double check the liquor cabinet to make sure it wasn't more than a jigger I put away last night. "Did I drunk post last night?? Because my comment about Hillary wasn't that bad." [Coffee]
I also thought I had angered someone. Glad everything is back. Thanks to all the mods, and you're welcome since I didn't text anyone. :)

Just chatting with William, and he's getting the banned message too. Except he's in Belarus right now, so that might explain things...
Yeah, the global issue is fixed. He can send his IP to the email link on the banned message. Chances are, we got a spammer from belarus and canned to whole class C.

He said he was in during the morning, then a few hours later he was blocked. I'll let him know to get his IP.

Yep, that's exactly what was going on. He was trying to get in from the 84.201.x.x subnet which was blocked due to spam activity. He sent a msg to the Contact Us email address and I got him hooked up.
