Sounds like they just tested a nuke.

The Iranians and ISIS may be the last thing we will be worrying about soon.

Thanks for the source, should be mandatory when posting about such things.

There were a lot of things I disliked about W (not least of which was his Democrat-like growth of the Federal government) but North Korea behaved themselves when he declared them part of the Axis of Evil. Now they laugh at the stupid SOBs we have in the Oval Office and Foggy Bottom.

It's about time we reminded that little bastard that we not only have nukes, but they're much bigger and we've used them before. On a country not too far from his own.

A nice tomahawk cruise missile through the front door of his mansion should send the message loud and clear. Our dear leader will probly send a congratulations letter instead.

I'm not worried about Kimmy using nukes on us or even his neighbors to the south ... I'm more concerned that he'll start trading them for Pokemon and cases of Hennessy with Muzloids that can't wait to cause global calamity to awaken the Mahdi from his slumber at the bottom of a well somewhere.

The Norks are developing the nukes for the Iranians and ISIS because the latter's efforts keep getting derailed by the Israelis. pResident Hadji has no problem with this, he'll probably be on "vacation" when ISIS dumps "made in NK nukes" in Washington DC, NYC, and Los Angeles.

I find it ironic sometimes how a lot of people view the ww2 concentration camps are somehow our fault, for not intervening sooner.

Yet, we have known modern concentration camps on our planet for decades, but that's not our problem.

I also like our strategy. "Well, they want to make nukes, they will make nukes, they are testing nukes, but lets wait through each stage of this and not act until they use nukes" Herpa Derpa Derr. Even China thinks they are crazy now.
How do you propose liberating those concentration camps?

The only way to do it would be via a land invasion of a nation that teaches every citizen to hate the US from the time they're in grade school.

On top of that, any attempt to engage militarily would result in China getting involved, which would be all kinds of bad.

Not that I don't sympathize, but there is no viable option that doesn't result in WW3.

I stand by my comparison. Who better to do the dirty work?

Japan does not do America's "dirty" work. Your comparison is very flawed.

Now if you were to say that America does Saudi Arabia's "dirty" work, then you'd be spot on.

Nope. Still stand by it. Agreed about Saudi Arabia! May want to research economic history of Japan & America...

I honestly believe that China would gladly leave her mentally-challenged step child to the wolves if they didn't share a border.

The thing about the Kim regime is that it provides a great deal of stability to that subregion, in the same way that Saddam Hussein provided stability in Iraq.

You guys have to remember that North Korea attacking any nuclear power would bring about their immediate end. Period. End of story. They have absolutely nothing to gain by attacking anyone. On the contrary, they have everything to gain by developing 1st world weapons to act as a deterrent. The Kim regime is legitimately (and deservedly) paranoid that the western world wants to remove them from power (and you can bet your butt that we have most certainly been trying with every covert means available). Why do you think KJU keeps assassinating high government officials? The captain is desperate to prevent a mutiny, and all he really wants is to sit at the big kid table.

FWIW, they conducted their first successful nuclear test in 2006, but open source reporting indicates that North Korea is not capable of making nukes small enough to go on top of a missile. I think we ought to all be very thankful that they are at least doing testing underground, which almost completely contains the radioactive effects which would normally leave heavy fallout all over the East coast of China and Japan.
