I want to give a shout out to the folks at Leatherman for great service. I bought a Leatherman juice xe-6 about 12 years ago which I have carried off and on since then. Some time last year I noticed the pliers didn't close all the way. I got on line and looked up their return policy/procedure and sent it back. I had a new tool in just over a week. No questions, or anything. It was great. The only money out of my pocket, aside from the original purchase, was about six bucks for the shipping.

Anyone else have good experiences? Bad ones?

Never had one long enough to need service. They always seem to grow legs.....

I've got one that has served me well, I broke the knife doing something stupid. I've yet to mail it in. I had to purchase another one to keep me going - can't live without it.

Dropped my MUT and it snapped off the firearm take down punch at the screw. Sent back and they repaired and sent back for free.

I've been carrying a skeletool CX every day for about 9 years. I'm looking to buy a new one because the blade on the old one is finally just about worn out.

Good no questions asked warranty, I've used & abused several models and sent them in a few times. I've got another one that I have been procrastinating on sending in. Thanks for the reminder.

Leatherman: I seem to recall he's anti-gun and very pro-democRat. Might be a good tool, but he won't get my support.

Yes, leatherman has supported anti-gun groups and politicians in the past. There was a thread here about it in 2013 IIRC.

Wish I knew that before dropping the $$$ on the MUT. Never again if lost or stolen

Interesting. I also like Gerbers. Any scoop on them?

Gerber's no problem, no political issues there. The thing about the Leatherman owner is that he's actually a radical earth first type, not just a D supporter.
