View Full Version : Good shop for Toyota Tundra upgrades?
Looking for a good place to have some upgrades put on the Tundra. Mainly looking for a lift and wheels as well as a new front bumper with a winch.
I'd prefer something south of I70 or between Castle Rock and the Springs.
These are not DIY projects for me, not even close. :)

Toytec is well known and here in CO. Boss suspension or the cheaper billstein 3:1 level/lift. Dont go for a cheap POS spacer lift.
Look into BAmufflers if you want to upgrade exhaust. 6 or 8 inch standard system is like a 20hp gain dyno'd. Has some others but those are no gain or at a loss. Sells a few goodies at a good price. (Sequia sway bar depending how good of a lift and suspension you add, some tuners etc)
If you do happen to like his 8 inch I have mine that will probably go for sale so I can swap to something even more obnoxious. (8's been good for getting out of neighborhood without waking people up but sings nicely at certain ranges or if you hit that "fun" button aka tow/haul.

i second Slee, they have done great work on my land cruiser and are known for their toyota expertise!
Thanks, I'm looking into these suggestions. Actually the bumper and winch is 1st priority and the lift 2nd. ;-)
8" exhaust would be cool, it's supercharged with the stock exhaust.
Oh snap been looking for one with a super in person so o can decide if ill go for it. Was month or so away from one when i found the deal on my 300g fish tank i restarted.

I'd be happy to let you try it out, if we can get into the same part of town. :)

good, because the lift is determined by bumper/winch setups.

I travel the state, would just need to find a day off and maybe some other errands to run down there. Could demo the bamuffler and even sell in the same trip. In a home garage it's like a 20min swap with a couple sockets.
Dc or crew though. Get the stick trd or the now " after market" Magnuson. Part of my delay is i have affv so had to wait for some tuning solutions since the ecu won't take the trd super tune.

This guy specializes in Yoters. If I still had one, he would be the only person I would let touch it. Well worth the drive as you are going to be spending quite a bit of cash and hate to get it back with some weird rattle or something worse.

Looks like a great shop, but they are a long ways away. I'd have to drive 200 miles round trip (2 vehicles), drop it off and then go back and pick it up so 800 miles of driving. If they could do it in one day I could just wait but overnight is probably a no go. :)

Check out Jesse www.atlr.net. He does nothing but Toyota/Lexus. He is at I-70 and Kipling. Still not close to you but closer than Addicted and he does very quality work.

These guys do Tundras lifts all day. Just got my 2017 SR5. They are connected to Toytec. Probably going to do a ZOne 5 lift.

Way late to the party but Slee did all the work on my truck. Installed front bumper and lights. Installed lift. Welded on Sliders.
Had Bump It Offroad in Loveland build a rear bumper tire carrier and had Slee wire up the lights for it.

I bought a Superwinch when I had all the work done, but it wouldn't fit because the solenoid was too high. I haven't gone back to get one, but will before next hunting season.
Lights are incredible, it's like daylight when I'm setting up camp somewhere or trying to see on a trail. I got them from http://www.okledlightbars.com/ - I'm not running Baja so I couldn't justify spending $$$$ on Rigids. I haven't had any issues with them so far.
The front bumper is from Demello offroad - if you order from them, don't expect to see anything for 6 months, it took forever to get mine.

They are all shot at Imogene Pass Ouray/TRide during the FJ Summit a few years ago. I try to get to Ouray at least once a year.

2017 Tundra CM
Toytect lift 3.5 with coachbuilder shims. Add a leaf in rear. 35x12.5x18" fuel octane wheels with +1mm offset. Toyo MT's
Body mount chop/N fab bars. S&B CAI.
All done at RSG offroad in Arvada....These guys love Toyota's!
Not a block lift right? How much did just the lift and maybe leaf run? I've been wanting to do the toytec 3/1 boss lift or possibly go cheaper with just trd sway bar and Bilstein's for an inch or so.

RSG has a complete install with UCA's for 2900.00 for the boss kit. If you wanted to save money, either OME's or the blistein 5100's.
I did add a leaf cause i will eventually get a topper and gonna tow a boat in the summer. It is exactly level. Just bought some toytec shackles for a 1/2" to 3/4" rake.

This is more of a camping, boat hauling rig. Once i get some sliders and a winch, i would be more confident wheeling this thing.

Pickups are getting so enormous these days, 35's don't even look big anymore.
Truck looks great, Bside!

His truck is smaller than my '05 duramax crew cab. It's about 8" shorter. But yes, full size trucks are very big.
Tundra- 229″ L x 80″ W x 76-77″ H
05 Duramax-237-256″ L x 80″ W x 77″ H
33's on my stock truck look normal.

Yeah it seems all vehicles are growing. My second gen xterra was equipped with 32's from the factory, whereas I needed a 4" lift to fit (to my satisfaction) the same size tire on my 99 Jeep Cherokee.

Yes, trucks and SUVs get larger as parking spaces get smaller. There should be a law!.... (jk).
