A couple of co-workers attended a training recently and it doesn't sound like it was very good. Is there a way to verify a NRA instructors credentials?

All we have is a name.

I would start with the range attended. If it was range staff it will be on file. If it was a guest Instructor it would have been required for insurance purposes.
I believe you would need their NRA Instructor # to get Instructor info from the NRA.
If it was in the Boonies with Jim Bob at his school O' Shootin Stuff....well here's their sign.

If they got a cerificate it is supposed to have the instructor number on it for any nra course or non nra ccw course.

What supposed NRA course did they attend? Or was it not an NRA course/curriculum.

If you have thier instructor number (also thier NRA member ID) you can call the NRA and they will verify.

if that's all the instructor had, that sure isn't a guarantee of a good instructor

Supposedly NRA certified, but nobody seems to know the trainers number, nor was it volunteered it seems.

Initial training was held in a classroom setting and then was to move to a "range" somewhere. Details are sketchy. :)
