So, Sept. 24th I'm doing a drive-in movie fundraiser at my school.... I know, it's like I never get to teach, all I do is try to raise money.... anyways, I think it'd be neat to have some classic cars or just some old time cars there to look at, etc. Anyone know of any classic car clubs in the area (school is just South of Pueblo) that would like to come hang out for an evening and show off some cars. Driving/tours not required, etc. Everytime I google car club I keep getting these lowrider POS things... I'm looking for old school cars....

Thoughts?

**sidenote, it is a school function on school property so just remember concealed means concealed.

I know there are some members in the local Porsche club who have the old 356s. It's too bad you didn't have this question a month or two ago as they were doing First Saturday car shows at First and Main Town Center in Colorado Springs which is a great place to see some classic cars and talk to the owners. You might try putting something in Craigslist that would get the attention of folks looking for parts.

I can ask the Street Machines, but I think most of us will be in Goodland that weekend. Off the top of my head there is the Road Knights, I know there is one in Pueblo. I'll get the info for you later, it's all at home.

They are still doing the first sat of the month carshow at town center in cos. next month (oct) is the last month. I was there this month with my motorcycle. Come on out and maybe you can get some guys to volenteer their time.

There is a big directory here. http://www.classiccarcommunity.com/car-club/state/co/

I know some of the guys in Above the Clouds, good guys. The outlaws are probably your best bet, they are in Pueblo. If you do this earlier next year, (labor day weekend would work) I can have at least 5 cars there, possibly more, but we need to know a couple weeks in advance.

Please don't take offense at my comment. There are different strokes for different folks. When I think of classic cars I think of non modified 20-50's. There's nothing wrong with lowriders, I just don't care for them nor think they belong in the "classic" category. If you enjoy them, more power to you.

I'll go park my truck in the lot for a few hours if you buy me a sixer. It's an 01 chevy, real classic.

Hell, anything with a true stick shift and three pedals is a classic to millennials. Three on the tree might blow their minds.

I'm considered a millennial depending on which study you follow, I assure you I know what three on the tree is, I also assure you I'm not as much of an idiot as most of you here seem to think "millenials" are.

I'd go with any car over 50 years old and many over 40 being classic. This would include a 60s-era Mustang or Vette, Rollls-Royce Silver Shadow, Ford Galaxie, Ford Fairlane, etc.

Well we didn't say all. We were talking in general terms. There are always exceptions to the rule.
