I was at Cabela's today and on their used gun rack they had a Norinco SKS Sporter for $698.

I chuckled out loud.

What are the actual going prices for sks's?

Holy Cow!

My bare bones (no bayonet) NIB Norinco was $89 in 1994.

I saw those too. I believe if they actually want to sell on they will get about 450.

$250 - 350 Tops, for a standard SKS.
The sporter (AK mags) has 2 versions. 1st gen was with bayo lug, 2nd gen had TH stock and funky blob where bayo lug use to be.

They may think they're worth $700 OTD. I say GFL trying to resell it for more than $400, before 1-2 BTT's with Price Reduced. Considering an AK is that price range, with more acc possibilities.

I think they are piggy back riding the price of AKs. Not actually selling. At a certain price point I would rather just get a .357 lever action.

I was at Thornton Cabelas today. I think both of the $600 sks were gone.

Time to unload the sks now, or wait till Donald wins?

Gun show close to the election usually works.

Sks prices are stupid high right now. Have been seeing them for 600$ everywhere. I had a hard time paying 300$ for my russian sks 10 years back when chicom and yugos were 100$. Sks rifles are nice solid guns but no where worth what they want for them now a days, just get a wsar.

maybe a good time to sell my Norinco... I like it, and would love to keep it, but I don't think I like it more than $500-600 [Coffee]

Last month I picked up two, a standard Norinco with a bayonet that looks unfired and a Sporter with the thumb hole stock, the bayonet nub and one AK mag. I got both of these for under $650 out the door from a local FFL shop. I was told by a SKS collector at the last gun show that just the Sporter was worth what I paid for both. So I would say prices are all over the board and whatever anyone is willing to pay. I personally have no interest in a $600 SKS.
