View Full Version : Looking at the Wilson Combat/Beretta 92G Brig. Tactical

Had a chat with an acquaintance at 5280 Armory last weekend, he told me about and showed me the Wilson Combat 92G Brigadier Tactical and told me it's among his favorite pistols, and took all the faults that Berettas have (long trigger pull, safety/decocking issues, poor sights, etc) and fixed them. I started doing some research, as I take people's word with a grain of salt. In reading reviews, it's purported to be quite a sweet number from a custom gun maker who doesn't hide his love of the 92 series. Having been issued a very used M9 in the Army, I can't say I hate the Beretta, but I don't love them. After seeing this and reading nothing but positive reviews, I'm seriously considering making the purchase, considering they're limited release and come from a team up I am quite intrigued by. Curious to see if anyone here has had any exposure to this model. $1100 is quite a chunk of change, but potentially worth it to have something like this to shoot.

To add- one review said that it's so accurate that it's "a better shot than you." I kinda liked that.

I can't remember who it was, but a member here had one for sale not too long ago. The Wilson would be the only 92 that I'd contemplate buying.

Every gun review I've ever read has said that the gun was more accurate than the shooter. Every single one.

That's pretty much what I've seen. Had a convo with the wife last night about making the purchase (not that I really need permission, per se), and told her I would more likely than not use it for mostly competition use, she didn't even hesitate to say "do it!" Best news, it's IDPA approved for SSP Division, and she has an excuse to go shooting tomorrow. So I'll be going in tomorrow to make the buy. Ideally I'd like more practice with it than just one day before entering a competition on Oct 2nd, but what can you do?

Which IDPA are you shooting?

The IDPA match at Centennial Gun Club on Sunday.

I got it, fired a few dozen rounds through her... I absolutely love this gun!
