My first AR-10 build!

My first ar-10 build. Pretty much complete, may change the rings out. Still need to check the headspace and go shooting! Hip replacement slowed me down a little! Took advantage of some trades and sales. Pre-dominantly a Aero precision build. Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

That's very nice. Do ar10 builds usually require headspacing? I was hoping they were more like an ar 15 that you can just buy any bcg and just drop it in.

In reality, you should check the head space of any firearm you assemble, even AR-15's.

The barrel maker is the one to put the barrel extension on, and they don't have any idea what bolt you are using. Yes, the bolts are all being built off the same spec, but you are now adding tolerances and could potentially be out of spec.

Makes sense, I appreciate you explaining that to me. That is a gorgous rifle he built and sounds like sure knows how to build them the right way and not cutting any corners.[Beer]

Since it is/was my first build, I figured I would be safe and check the headspace. I have the gauges just haven't really had time. Thanks guys, it came together really nice just hope it shoots as good as it looks!

Nice rifle there. I have the same hand guard on my ar.

I built with a lot of the same components and have been very happy. Aero makes good stuff. I didn't headspace mine, but Ive only had problems with wonky brass. Send some pictures when you get it done!
