View Full Version : Stolen 2000 Jeep Cherokee, lifted and unique
Saw this while browsing Craigslist. Feel free to spread the CL ad around your social media so this poor guy can get his truck back.
http://cosprings.craigslist.org/wan/5821724459.html:
"Appeal to stolen truck thieves! At 7:30 am Monday Morning my Jeep was stolen from the 2000 block of west Cucharras. Thieves drove east bound down Cucharras.
I am a Dad with 1 son and a baby on the way (any minute) I need this Jeep to survive.
It's the only one like it in Colorado Springs, (DID YOU SEE IT?)
A REWARD TO JUST GET IT BACK!
*Neighbors cameras provided security camera footage of the thieves in the black SUV*
It's just a matter of time here-
I cannot take time off to go to court!--so just put it on the street and call me or walk away--or if someone wants a reward call me. . .my job is on the line here.
Thanks you for reading this
Regards

My neighbor had a 2000 cherokee. I worked on it for free and they still couldn't afford to keep it parts cost alone.
Sucks, and dont want to detract from that. But a little part of me was wondering at if so hard up for transportation, why does it have enough aftermarket stuff/high dollar tires to be worth more than the vehicle? (I'm sure folk love those 8 inches of exposed tire past the fenders on the road flinging stuff.

Interesting, I've owned 4 of them and nary a problem other than routine maintenance.
Not my place to question why he has this or that thing. Perhaps he had those mods done when he was in a better paying job or he bought it like that. I dunno. I just think thievery sucks and as a dad with 1 young son and another on the way, I'd like to see the guy get his truck back.

Amen!
I am on the look out up here in the Boulder/Broomfield area but I'm afraid I'm inside most of the day so won't likely be much assistance.

Sorry for his loss, but it's probably either in Mexico by now, or a pile of parts...
Yeah, the downside of that rig is how universal and popular all of his parts are.

A big +1 ......or it's been abandoned rolled over in a creek somewhere after a bit of a joy ride

Same here. 3 Cherokees and 1 Wrangler and all 4 were awesome. People tend to drive them like they are indestructable, therefore, problems occur.
I have a friend who had his 2000's jeep wrangler stolen at the park and ride at the Windsor exit. They found it in the Denver area completely stripped. The police said it's common to find them gutted because parts are easy to sell.
