View Full Version : The Silver Lining in a Hillary Victory

I'm beginning to think that maybe the silver lining in a Hillary victory is that we'll all die in a nuclear war long before she can ban our guns. :p

Putin has recalled the families of their diplomatic corps back to Russia. Something is up.

Haha, if we could be so lucky that it would end that quickly.

I think Putin and Obama are conspiring to either start a war for each of their gain ... or at least frighten the people here and there with a rumor of war. Obama admin just announced (http://www.truthrevolt.org/news/breaking-cia-planning-cyber-strike-against-russia) that they're going to mount a "covert" cyber attack (not sure the dumbass understands what the word "covert" means).
Both of them are despicable people.

The only silver lining to Hillary winning would be watching her fall over dead as she places her hand on the bible just before taking the oath. I would at least get some satisfaction from that. I'll worry about the douchebag VP after I celebrate her death...and his first time might be over by the time I stop celebrating.

I think you just uncovered the reason im voting for hillary. She is going to bring real change this country needs.
Carbon emissions? Not after the firestorm extinguishes itself.
Abortion? I think that the charred corpses of pregnant mothers by definition abort their fetuses so another win for understanding and tolerance of womens needs and rights.
Black lives matter? We will all be black together.
Racial tensions? The wildlife that re-inhabits our country from Canada may still have racial tensions. Especially with all the sad mutated deer and elk who will result from the radioactive fallout.
Political correctness? For once all of america will have the precisely same thoughts on every subject. Nothing.
I would welcome puking out my organs in a slow and agonizing fashion just to know that a)every major city full of liberals in the usa was doing its best lifeless moonscape impression and b) hillary would no doubt live. Live to regret thinking that fucking around with one of the most dangerous men to ever live was a great idea.
Welcome back to the cold war folks. Im glad we have the leadership we need to prevail over common sense this time.
I will bet you the nuclear blast calculation website is pretty popular right now. Protip = the rs-24 icbm deployed by the russians has 4 250kt mirv warheads. When deployed with all 4 hitting Denver and combined with overlapping overpressure wave propagation every single person in Denver would be horribly killed.

Hillary has a 40+ year track record of dishonesty, corruption, and incompetence. Hasn't affected your life? No, I suppose her hanging Americans out to dry in Benghazi had no direct effect on your life. Nor did her corrupt agreements to modify US foreign policy after receiving "donations" to her family "charity", the Clinton Foundation. You're not currently active duty and probably don't have children that might be sent in to fix the instability after she and Obama pissed away the (admittedly tenuous) stability that Bush left behind in Iraq and Afghanistan although you've probably been affected (as the whole country - nay, world - has been) by the her efforts to turn Iraq & Afghanistan into a replay of Viet Nam instead of World War II. If nothing else, North Korea and Iran have grown cojones and created direct threats to the US and our allies under her watch as SecState that they lacked when Bush declared them part of the Axis of Evil.
I'm not saying you should wish her harm -- some gun nut going after her is a Liberal wet dream: they could paint us all as nuts, have reason to pursue elimination of the Second Amendment, AND get rid of albatross around the neck of the Democrat Party that the Clinton Corruption represents. What I AM saying is that she has affected your life in probably more substantial ways than you realize.

It's the exact same stupidity as the people who want Trump to be elected. If you think the person can accomplish what you want, then who cares about anything else?

No, it's not the same. Hillary Clinton has a history of dishonesty, corruption and betrayal of the American people while in a position of trust within the government. Trump doesn't. Hillary has been complicit in the creating the disaster of a government we have today. Trump has not.
Say what you will about Trump's private life, business dealings or whatever. He's not responsible for the shape our government is in. Hillary is.
The only reason Trump hasn't affected the government (that we know of) is that he hasn't been in the government. How can anyone comfortably help to actually put him in a position to do damage?
Bailey Guns
10-16-2016, 17:48
The point is, we know what Hillary's about because she's shown us since the 80s. Regardless of what you think about Trump, the truth is you don't know how he'll run the government.
We've invaded and/or overthrown governments (or at least assisted) in the past for the very type of bullshit our elected officials are engaged in within our government right now. The depth of corruption in this administration, much of it courtesy of Hillary Clinton, is unprecedented. And it'll just get worse with her in the oval office. We know that for a fact because she has a track record of 30+ years of that type of behavior.
It's not like Trump came up out of no where and has no history. He's not even a wildcard. Why would anyone assume that he'll run the government any differently than he does anything else? It just doesn't make sense to me.
I realize I'm taking away from, yet another, anti-Hillary thread though. Since I'm not voting for either one of them, I can just as easily keep my amazement that either would get a vote to myself.

Why would anyone assume that he'll run the government any differently than he does anything elseand just what has been so bad about his personal life thus far? What has he done that, in your mind, disqualifies him to be president?
May as well add this to the Clinton Silver Lining theory:
Emails show Bloomberg wants to be Clinton’s secretary of state.
http://nypost.com/2016/10/15/bloomberg-wants-to-be-clintons-secretary-of-state-emails-reveal/
Enjoy 'em while ya got 'em. And don't put off to many future purchases for too long.
If the election was Mike Pence vs Tim Kaine, would that make the choice any easier for anyone?
The two candidates at the top of the ticket are not likely to get through two terms. Trump would be the oldest person to take the oath of office if elected and HRC is only a year younger than Trump. Dwight Eisenhower and Ronald Reagan are the only US Presidents to serve in their 70's and no matter who wins next month, the winner is likely to be the third person added to that list. No one votes for a VP, but this election is so befuddled, it may just be time to look at who gets the office if the geriatric in chief is unable to fulfill their term.
I apologize to any member who has reached the wise and experienced heights of their seventh decade or beyond. I intend no offense and have the highest regards for my elders.

No, he didn't come out of nowhere and I don't buy anything labeled "Trump" because I've watched the guy for 30 years. I'd rather he was considered for Chief Trade Negotiator or SecState than President because at least I'd have good faith the US would come out on top in trade and diplomatic negotiations but he's the only candidate available now to avoid a Clinton Rodham presidency which would be an unmitigated disaster. He IS a bit of a wildcard which is why the establishment Republicans are STILL fighting him. He's hardly conservative but he's also nowhere near as corrupt as Hillary and is definitely a lot more competent at running large organizations. He's pretty bad at politics but that's actually a positive IMO.
A vote for Johnson or Stein may as well be a vote for Rodham, especially with the Leftists in the press eager to bolster her and the Democrats by shading their reporting (of course, that's nothing new ... the mainstream press has been doing this since Reagan, it's just gotten worse and more blatant in recent years).
and just what has been so bad about his personal life thus far? What has he done that, in your mind, disqualifies him to be president?
I tried to answer this for you, but I can't. It's like if I asked you what things disqualify Kayne West from the Presidency. Legally? Nothing that I know of. But I'd have to smash my head with a rock in order to arrive at a mental state in which I could try to seriously debate the pros and cons of a Kayne presidency.

For the record, no one is talking about Johnson, and I don't even know who Stein is. There has been a lot of assuming going on here the last few months. Any time someone questions Trump, the knee jerk reaction is to assume that person likes some other candidate and starts to argue a point that was never being made. It's rather embarrassing.

Reason #1: “Why Choose The Lesser Evil?”
Really, has choosing the lesser evil ever worked for America? And when there’s no clear “lesser evil,” the obvious choice has to be the greatest evil, ever. Go big or go home, right?
Reason #2: “Ph’nglui Mglw’nafh Cthulhu R’lyeh Wgah’nagl Fhtagn!”
The first time I heard deep ones chanting this at a Cthulhu rally, it just resonated with me, at a deep, primal, I think I’m about to lose control of my bowels level. I mean, how could you hear that and not want to engage in human sacrifice and mate with a nearly immortal amphibious race?
Reason #3: Social Justice
Look, I’m tired of the oligarchs rigging the system and treating the rest of us like we’re chattel. So, I say we make everyone chattel, from the politicians to the middle class to the people on welfare. Let’s just clear the board, level the playing field, and make everyone equally oppressed and disposable. Because remember, to Cthulhu, #nolivesmatter (https://twitter.com/cthulhu4america).
Reason #4: Jobs
The fact is, there simply aren’t enough jobs to go around for everyone. Well, Cthulhu (long may he slumber) is the only candidate with a solid and workable jobs platform. “Kill off the excess population,” he says, “and we’ll have jobs for everyone.” Brilliant.
Reason #5: The Wall
Look, whether you want to admit it or not, giant albino penguins are a problem for everyone. They take our jobs, eat our faces off, and they can’t make a decent chimichanga.
But under Cthulhu’s rule, no more giant albino penguins! He has promised us a wall of shoggoths, who will eat the giant penguins as they are crossing the border. A simple, effective solution.
And for those who ask, “But who will pay for the shoggoths?” I say, let the penguins pay, with their lives. Suck it, naysayers.
A Final Plea
Your vote can make a difference!
Sure, once this election is over, we’ll still have the same problems with poverty, income inequality, crippling national debt, a fiat currency on the brink of collapse, and the fact that Firefly is never going to get a revival on Netflix…
…but at least we’ll be united in being crushed under the heel of an utterly evil and absolutely soulless extra-dimensional entity who just wants to bring about the utter destruction of humankind.
Now, who’s with me? Cthulhu 2016!

I'll sit this one out...[Coffee]
In the next four years, we will see:
1. Gun legislation that will change how and what we can purchase
2. First cut at socialized medicine and increased tax burden
3. Shift in international monetary policy and recession
4. Major terror attack on US soil
5. Further erosion of US sovereignty and increased influence of multi-nationals and UN policy.
It'll be awesome! The only silver lining is that maybe...perhaps maybe, people of different philosophies might actually come together to stop it....but, I doubt it.
This is awesome. It's kind of like being set on fire then hopping on a motorcycle and riding towards a cliff with the throttle pinned back and banging through the gears.
Or maybe like diving face first into a wood chipper, naked and with a smile on your face.
