As a kid, I was particularly fond of Monopoly, Risk, and chess. How we play (and win) those kinds of games actually correlates quite well to law, business, negotiations, interpersonal human relationships, and especially politics.I am writing you to present a stupid-simple way out of a Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton presidency. The game plan is simple.

1. If you reside in Utah, vote Evan McMullin (he is currently polling near dead even (http://heatst.com/world/evan-mcmullin-surges-in-utah-as-donald-trump-collapses-beats-gary-johnson/)).
2. If you reside in New Mexico, vote for Gary Johnson.
3. If you are in the following swing states, vote for the highest-polling third-party candidate the week of the election: Iowa, Arizona, Florida, Ohio, North Carolina, Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, New Hampshire, and Maine.
4. If Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Ohio, and Pennsylvania are won by third-party voters (or any other number of permutations and combinations) combined with No. 1 and No. 2 above, then neither Hillary nor Trump can get the 270 Electoral College votes needed to win the election.
5. So then Congress votes on the election and can choose from those third-party state winners, which in this case would most likely be McMullin and Johnson. This is how John Quincy Adams was elected president in 1824 despite not winning the majority vote or having the most Electoral College votes.

Hillary's election has been preordained by our betters. This is just the carnival leading up to the event.

I heard something similar, as well as at least one other way she could be denied the office. But...

Hillary's election has been preordained by our betters. This is just the carnival leading up to the event.

Yep....

The Clinton machine planned on her getting elected in 2008 but didn't count on the fact that people just don't like her. I would wager her health "issues" were known among some of the insiders long before she started her campaign and 2008 was supposed to be the year. Who knows if she's gonna make it to 2020? Or even 2018? When her campaign (and her) were faced with an eloquent speaking member of a minority group I think everybody on her side quickly figured out she didn't have a chance. Her team has probably been working on the fix for the last eight years, if not longer.

Y'all remember the "Hillary 1984" commercial?

I believe that's when the Clinton machine started digging the dirt, and buying people off, to get her in office.

I thought the house could only vote on the top 3 vote getters nationwide for pres, and top 2 for vp?

No, it's a fantasy (likely induced by too much consumption of herbal remedies). First off, the plan as written depends on Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Ohio, AND (not or) Pennsylvania being won by third-party voters -- not going to happen. Any one of those states being won by third party is a long long long shot (particularly given the Democratic machine in Pennsylvania) but all five? Next, even assuming he got all five swing states AND Utah AND New Mexico AND some of the the other swing states in #3 to go third party, his plan depends on Congress choosing a third party state winner instead of the person who got the most popular votes or the most electoral votes.

Remember, John Quincy Adams was not a third party politician, he was the son of a former president and a legislator in his own right with his own storied career. He was well known to Congress at the time and respected by both sides of the aisle.

Congress doesn't get to just choose from among all those voted for in the EC - they are restricted to the top 3 electoral vote getters for president, and the top two electoral vote getters for vice president.
