The Republican controlled U.S. Senate stood up to Obama's attempts to overthrow the U.S. Constitution by a 53-46 vote.

The U.N. Resolution 2117 lists 21 points dealing with firearms control, but perhaps of most interest is point number 11: "CALLS FOR MEMBER STATES TO SUPPORT WEAPONS COLLECTION and DISARMAMENT of all UN countries".
By a 53-46 vote - The U.S. Senate voted against the U.N. resolution.

The Statement of Purpose from the Senate Bill reads: "To uphold Second Amendment rights and prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty." The U.N. Small Arms Treaty, which has been championed by the Obama Administration, would have effectively placed a global ban on the import and export of small firearms. The ban would have affected all private gun owners in the U.S. and had language that would have implemented an international gun registry, now get this, on all private guns and ammo.

46 out of our 100 United States Senators were willing to give away our Constitutional rights to a foreign power.

Here are the 46 senators who voted to give your rights to the U.N. They need to go:

Baldwin (D-WI)
Baucus (D-MT)

Udall (D-CO) did loose his next election. Now it's Bennett's (D-CO) turn to pay for not upholding the U.S. Constitution.

Thanks for sharing, I know we have some new members. As for the regulars, I can think of maybe two people that would vote for any of these turds in the first place, and one of them is no longer here...

Didn't this vote happen like 3 and half years ago...early 2013, I think?

Yep ... one reason Udall lost the Senate seat he'd stolen through lies and trickery in the first place. Still ... it should be thrust in the face of any gun owner (or shooting sports participant) who is even thinking of voting for Bennett. His commercials featuring self-styled Republicans who claim they can trust him make me almost as ill as hearing Obama's or Hillary's voices.

Good thread.

This is the stuff I try to show the "reasonable" (fudd) gun owners who want to compromise or be "reasonable." There really is no middle ground and the framework is set up to eliminate any appeal from the folks. You can't call it democracy when a group of unelected globalists overturn civil liberties. So they call it "compromise" when they have something they want to take but there is zero compromise going the other way.

We've had a member of this forum who lost his side business/hobby. Where was his compromise? Where was the "reasonableness" in pushing him out of business?

Those people shouldn't be in Washington. They don't belong.

Good read.

As was pointed out, Udall was fired and I agree, Bennett needs to go. The last poll I looked at showed Bennett ahead. What's the feeling in more populated parts of the state?
