Anybody know anything about Hoo Motors in Elizabeth? They always seem to have several nice late model trucks there, and I have to wonder about the low sales tax there. Any experiences with them? Good/bad?

I believe you're right! I get them mixed up in my little mind.

Anyway, same questions...

If I recall correctly-
You pay the sales tax for where you title the vehicle, not for where you buy it. You don't save any sales tax by buying it outside your title location.

This is correct information about paying tax on your title location (home). They sell quite a few vehicles and have been selling from that location for many years. I have not done business with them but suspect the word would be out if they were not providing adequate customer service.

Well, shit. Bummer about the taxes. Still interested though, they have some nice vee-hickles there.

There's a new dealer on Lincoln across twenty mile rd from Carmax, but I haven't been in the market so have not looked at the selection.

True story. We bought our Odyssey at Schomp in Littleton (great by the way) and only paid unincorporated El Paso County taxes (5.13% or something?) because we are outside city limits of COS.

New location for Rausch Motors. They've been operating for years in an old convenience store on Pine just east of Parker Rd., by the Harley dealer. Guess they're moving uptown.

Roger that.

Not the single, but one of the biggest reasons we all rejected some asshat neighbors attempt to have our neighborhood annexed into Parker.

I don't have any experience with them other than driving by often. They really do seem to have a good selection of trucks.

I see A LOT of trucks out here driving around with Hoo Motors stickers. So I would think they'd have died a quick death if they weren't pretty good. Especially in such a small community.
