Post the stupid things your neighbors say on Nextdoor. This thread should go on forever.

I'll start. Both are the same guy. He started a thread complaining that someone stole his Trump sign out of his yard. There are a surprising amount of Trump supporters popping up, and I'm just waiting for the whole thread to explode into a political fight.

I actually really liked Sanders, and since I'm a single issue 2nd amendment rights voter he would have had my vote. Now that the Hillary people took my sign I'm afraid they're going to take away my 1st amendment right as well!!!

Never mind the fact that the lead sponsor on the ban Diana Degette dos not even understand how gun magazines work! She thought all the high capacity clips would be thrown away when empty leaving only 14 round clips! I heard most of the gun stores will sell you full "rebuild kits" with all the parts if you need to "rebuild" your old clips...

His response to my post.

I think overall his voting record is spotty but for a democrat he was as pro gun as you get. I didn't really think Trump had a chance at the beginning but he looks promising now that Hillary is exposed as a crook. I will stick with the word clip since "banana magazine" sounds like a kind of underwear...

Lady complaining about her cat getting attacked (aka raped) in their backyard by a "wild" cat and admonishing all neighborhood cat owners to control their animals.

That one got me banned after just about one week on the site, so the stupid has gone away.

We had a girl posting in the emergency section, which generated high priority emails and text messages. She was saying that she had some left over french fries from McDonalds and other stuff. When people called her out for trolling after a few weeks, her dumbass husband hopped on to defend her honor and call people out for being mean to her for being "different." I wanted to show up at her house and pound on her door demanding that I get the fries. That might not have gone over well, but I guaranty that it would have shut that shit down ASAP.

I tried our Nextdoor for a couple of months but decided that it reminded me of General Discussion here but without any interesting gun conversations. I already can get that stuff here or on FB, I don't need more, so I dropped out.

DATE OF HALLOWEEN TRICK OR TREATING. I'm wondering when Halloween will be celebrated bt children on the streets in the Westminter area.
that one had me doing a mega facepalm.

There are aprox 5 lost cat posts on there as well for my neighborhood. 3 of the owners have found collars, but no cat. They still think it's going to come home. We have a LOT of yotes in the neighborhood. One doofus actually posted that they called the police to file a missing cat report. He posted that wonderful tidbit to notify the others that the police will only direct you to Animal Control.

Another neighbor (man) responded to ask if we could call it a "handyperson" which is more inclusive. Didn't have anything to offer but that.

If anyone that doesn't know me wants to take the time to find my name for whatever reason, all they have to do is look up the address on the Dougco property records site.

While I find there is occasionally something useful my favorite is the people who hear every loud noise as gun shots.
Fireworks = gunshots
car backfire = gunshots
neighbor slams a door= gunshots

And of of course the resident expert who suggests everyone call Jeffco sheriff right away so they can track all the calls to find out where the shooting is taking place- their super secret technology can pinpoint the exact location of the shots from the calls.

This was on mine today. The workers should have asked, buy to make it into an issue and file a complaint[facepalm] Its 1.5 cents worth of water for 5 gallons.

"Today my wife caught a city construction worker filling their water container with our residential water hose; one of those very large jugs of water you'd see at a picnic, or construction site. I believe this this is the construction crew currently working in the Arvada area to replace/upgrade gas lines and systems.

Since they have been gradually moving across the roads, residents across the neighborhood have probably had their water stolen over the last 1-2 months of construction. We've filed a complaint with the city.

We heard our water activate yesterday and didn't think anything of it, but investigated this time. The construction worker just made excuses. Look out for them trespassing and stealing water".

In the 4ish square miles that make up my neighborhood, there are over 500 homes and I don't drive down most of the 25-30 different streets. However, using this site allowed us to drum up support for more than one community neighborhood; the most important of which allowed us to get enough support to add speed bumps in some key areas, including my street. Traffic and speeds are WAY down now. Also, while I may not consider someone who lives a mile from me a neighbor, I'm still interested to hear if they are having their home broken into, especially when they have video.

I still talk to my neighbors. Nextdoor lets me have a broader view of things across multiple adjacent neighborhoods, people that I would never get to "talk" to otherwise. Besides there's only maybe 10 households in my filing who are on Nextdoor, out of ~100.

Speaking of waving at other COAR members, I have yet to see another car with the COAR sticker(s) on it.

We constantly share beers.. and whiskey.. So out of my 'neighbors' I'm counting two houses in each direction... I talk to 4 on the regular. Got one of them to buy a few guns.. now just working on the others.

Thief in Gulch! lady received a Photo and Short typed note in her mailbox - calling out a guy by name who lives in a tent in the creek/gulch nearby.

He's using a cell phone to post on facebook. Lot's of God ramblings, nothing much makes sense. Thread went sideways eventually and the whole thing has been deleted.

this one was posted today, drunk posting I believe.

Skunk City??? :-) (https://twocreeks.nextdoor.com/news_feed/?post=35789227)
I was living in Wash Park West area of Denver before moving to Lakewood.

I have never seen so many skunks in my life
I walked out of my house on South Kendall and there was one right in my front yard, made a noise, he took off.

I was on my way to 7-11 around 1am three nights ago and I decided to be smart and walk since I was drinking.

I was on 1st ave, and a down the road I noticed something cross the street

As I got closer I saw it was 3 skunks in a line going in the opposite direction, I was holding a plastic cup of fireball and I looked back to see where they went, looked back again and WTF, one of the them crossed over the street and was running right towards me..I bugged out, took off (didn't toss my fireball though) and all i heard was click clack click clacking of its feet..my heart was racing

I will not be walking in the middle of the night to any store, no matter how much I want a cigarette

I am use to raccoons being from NY and they run away, well this skunk had guts

Any way to keep them away from your house????

Just posted by DCSO...

Early this morning, just after 1:00 a.m , we received a call from a resident on Oak Leaf Lane in Highlands Ranch, reporting that he could see four people checking car doors in his neighborhood. The subjects checking the doors had a black Mazda following alongside them as if it were there as a safety.

Several units immediately responded to the area to attempt to locate the subjects. Deputies located the black Mazda driving without its lights on behind two SUV’s. Deputies attempted to pull the vehicles over, but the drivers of all three vehicles accelerated and refused to stop. Due to high speeds, deputies eventually lost visuals of the vehicles.

It was later determined that the two SUV’s were both stolen from Silver Maple Dr. in Highlands Ranch. One vehicle was left unlocked and keys to the ignition were left in the glovebox. The owner of the other vehicle states that the car doors were locked and the keys are still in his possession.

What's the harm of this person asking about police activity near their house?
Its harmless and understandable.
Would you rather have this person go bother an on scene officer while they are trying to do their job?

Yeah, that's why you ask the group before rolling up to an active police situation. If someone already has the info, the officers are free to complete their duty without multiple people asking questions.
If you have a community resource in place and a safety situation arises, why wouldn't you utilize it???

Irving

There's nothing wrong with it. I think you missed the context of the post that certain people ask about every single little thing. The question quoted on here was probably one of those people, so it was automatically filed in the dumb category, even though in this case it wasn't.

Not sure I can pull up a history for a particular user on nextdoor, but some post silly things constantly. This, I thought was one. Maybe it's none of their business why they are there.

Some of the replies to the lady wanting to know about the police activity;

"probably a drug bust" and thus that one was flagged and removed.
"RAIDS online will have it but not for a couple of days"

No other updates have been posted. These types of things are why the city of lakewood went to encryption on their radios, all channels, nobody can listen now. No idea what is happening.

Since some members don't believe in talking to people online, ironically, I'll share some in-person stupid neighbor stuff. The people a few houses down from us are moving. While talking to my next door neighbor, he said they were moving somewhere out in the country and, allegedly, think they are going to make a living selling wild game, and they told their kid (11ish years old) that he could even bring a gun to school where they are moving. I think they might have a MemberBerry addiction.

Regarding the person posting about every little thing- sometimes it can be good. We had someone do a hit-and-run through our neighborhood, and they blew through several stop signs trying to find a way out of this rat's maze of streets. They nearly hit a kid on a bike, too. DCSD had vehicles all over the neighborhood, looking for the guy. A neighbor talked with one of the deputies, and the posting began. The hit-and-run SUV was found within a half hour, thanks to the posting of the neighbors spotting the vehicle.

The frantic coyote sighting postings are getting old, though.

I especially love the posts about coyote posts.

If they'd just let us shoot them, they'd have less to worry about. The coyotes around here have snatched several dogs. A 16 year old girl was attacked earlier this year too while walk her large dogs.

I'm in my office right now looking at a perfect backstop in "open space" and see them often.

That was great! Didn't they start a petition? I think that's the most conservative Hooters I've seen. You can't even see in from the street and the signage isn't very visible. Better than a vacant building.

Someone got their Fee-Fees hurt....

I wanted to share this experience with my Nextdoor neighborhood communities. Last Saturday, I went to Colorado Mills to shop. While there I saw a young, white male in his 20s tell a young boy from India to "Get the @$%* out of my country." I was stunned by what he said and I got angry that he directed his hatred to a boy who was about 10-years-old. The boy who did not say a word and looked scared. I approached the male and asked him why he choose to spew his hate on a child rather than an adult. His face turned red and he walked away from me. I followed him and his two friends who remained silent. I immediately contacted Mall Security and the Lakewood Police Department where I officially filed a formal complaint. The child was waiting for his mother who was using the restroom. I had followed the mother into the restroom and I was exiting the restroom when I encountered the teen. Please, please if you experience racism or hatred please speak up and report it.

Yes When one has children one discovers real fast how quickly they can do things, science has proven are impossible to do. We had two that liked to watch us watch TV from our deck for about a week. Then they moved on.

I think they were hunting bunnies in our backyard and must have run down the supply. We don't have any pets so they had full use of our deck/yard for hunting.

That way, it's locked and protected by the alarm systems, plus the steering and shifter are locked. But it'd have to be damn cold out, and no shady looking maggots anywhere in sight.

Leave something running while unlocked and the keys in it? "Life is hard, it's harder if you're stupid."

My post above about the stolen silverado - they couldn't turn off the truck because it had a dead battery - they had an appointment scheduled with a shop to install a new battery. Seems to be very common practice that people can't do anything for themselves. (simple things)

There is a lady in my immediate neighborhood whom is a New Age healer loon who is always talking about how she's cured some cats of Lymphoma. She posts multiple times in any lost animal thread, even after they are found. She has good intentions, but people tend to ignore her. Recently she posted this:

I can't tell anyone not to vaccinate, but we can educate ourselves and decide how much is enough. Most pet services won't let you bring your dog unless it has rabies vac. I spoke to the state and they said IF a pet gets out and IF it gets bit by a rabid animal, that could cause havoc for other pets as well. BUT if a cat is bit by a rabid wolf, don't you think the wolf will kill eat the animal it bites? There is no scientific reason why we need to vaccinate our pets Every year, it was just an uneducated Guess (years ago) how many vaccines our pets need. For pups, get about 16 different vaccines by the age of 6 months!! Most of the inoculations have 3 different vaccines in the serum. Are they kidding us? No wonder 50% of dogs get cancer. What can we do?
Here is a video by Dr. Karen Becker on the dangers of vaccinations. Please watch:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1j4ZGfAJ...

These are some things I found in my research.
1. If you vaccinate for rabies, do the 3yr. Its' the same as the 1yr. Then you don't have to reinject the poison every year.

2. Two days after innoculation, I HIGHLY suggest detoxing with herbs for a few day to take the bad toxins out of your pet's body.

3. Research findings have said that most of the extra vaccines are not necessary, you can read up on it.
4. Ask your vet about Titer tests. You do a blood test before the next vaccine and it tells you if the pet is still immunized

5. Read everything you can on the dangers of vaccines and what you can do about it. 6. Please build up your pet's immune system and the best way is clean diet / Vitamins / Detox If you do these 3 things and are careful with your vaccinations and meds, your pets should live the normal 16yrs and health. Bless our pets. If anyone wants more info, please contact me. Also I am still offering a free consultations for your pet til I get my new website up and running. Then there will be a small fee.

Here are some of the ingredients in vaccines. Do you want your pet to have this injected into their body? I suggest talking with your vet about your concerns. Let's work with our vets, not against them. One of my vets understands and he believes in natural healing. In fact, he recovered from Polio as a child after his father took him to an herbalist healer in Africa. All of the other children who did not do this, ended up dying. Dr. Patrick even wrote a book about it. It' on Amazon.

These 3 are the main ingredients Mercury Alumminum Formaldahyde Also: these poisons were found in vaccines, but this could be human or other pet vaccines. Alummnim Sulphate Sodium phosphate Fecal matter Pus from sores of diseased animals Phenols Urine animal organ tissue and blood.

She was being ignored, until I posted:

Name, if you'd like to be taken seriously about a topic that you are passionate about, do your best to provide a realistic example from which to start the conversation. An extremely unlikely hypothetical like a rabid wolf biting a house cat is a non-starter. Much more likely is a squirrel and cat interaction or raccoon vs cat interaction. We've had both, with one cat! Let's add some balance to this discussion.

People started coming out of the wood works to trash her.

After some "feed back" from people tired of her B.S. she posted: (My bolding)

How many people do we know who's pet contracted rabies from any animal? I can't think of one, ever. If you watch the video by Veterinarian, yes Veterinarian Dr. Karen Becker, she has a wealth of information. Maybe this will at least make in impact on cutting down on the enormous drugs and chemicals we are injecting and subjecting to our pets. Just something to think about. Overdosing is her main concern. She is not saying never vaccinate, but if we can do titers, we would find out that most of our pets are still immunized even if we never gave them another vaccine. I love all pets and would love to help all of them stay healthy. I hate seeing people cry their eyes out because their pet got a disease. We all know it has to be coming from somewhere. So my intent is to get the info out there and then everyone can decide for themselves how much is enough. If we all work together WITH our veterinarians, we can cut down on deadly diseases, I know this is true.

Oh and thank-you to the person whom reported my post, please be kind enough to message me privately so I know what part of my post was in violation of the nextdoor rules so I can fix it. I appreciate it.

I am trying to help our precious pets. So far With God's Help, I have cured Lymphoma in every cat I have helped with natural remedies. Drugs did not help them ,but made it worse. Muscular Dystrophy was healed in another pet and so on. I am not going to stop helping animals as long as I live. I want all of them to live out their long happy lives, as all of us do. I got a call today from a friend about a therapy cat who is getting blood transfusions right now. This is a young cat. It might die and the child who owns it is devastated. I hope I can help it recover. They are thinking Lymphoma which is my specialty. I am asking everyone who will pray with me for a full recovery of this precious baby. Thank-you and God Bless.
P.S. If you have a pet, please hug it for me!! Happy Valentines Day (smile)

To which I responded with:

The cases are low, due to vaccination. I watched the YouTube video, and while it provided some information, it was mostly unrelated, amd merely suggested a correlation. For the record, I did not report your post. I prefer a discussion with the opportunity to come to conclusions based on facts rather than censorship.

She got attacked even more with people directly calling her out about curing cancer (in both cats and people). She responded by offering her Vet's info so the non-believer's could call the vet to verify the claims were true.

A few days later she started a whole new thread with this post:

Who ever keeps reporting me for my animal help posts please be kind enough to let me know how my efforts in helping our pets is offending you? I am here to help and as I have stated before, I (with God's guidance) have cured my own cats of Lymphoma, and other pets of many horrific diseases by recommending natural remedies. I was contacted by a family on Valentines Day who's little girl's therapy cat just had a blood transfusion and they reached out to me. The cat is still alive first because the veterinarian acted fast. The vet did not prescribe any drugs and is on board to try natural remedies.

They think it is felv & lymphoma. This is deadly and the little girl needs her pet and she doesn't want him to die and is crying her eyes out. This is very sad. This cat has saved her life, and helped her through some horrific times. We need a miracle to save his life. Please if anyone can pray for Raj the cat and Ellie the little girl who loves her cat as much as anyone.

Let's report bullys and unkind chat and that sort of thing and let's support and thank the members who are trying to make this a better place. If your cat or dog was dying and you reached out to me, I would be more than happy to try to help save your pet too. It's about the animals. Lets work together to make this a better place for all. Blessings.

p.s. I also train cats for the handi-capped as sometimes a dog is not an option.

Now she's being attacked all over again, sometimes by people who weren't involved in the last thread, about claiming to have cured cancer.

What sucks is that there are communities that appeal to their suburban sentiments and they would enjoy. But no, they have to change.

I have a friend in rural Florida who sends a welcoming committee to all new residents. They get a lot of "snowbird" types that come down and buy land to build. They explain what will/will not be tolerated in no uncertain terms.

That is some tier 1 crazy right there. Yes, let's not vaccinate the animals because no humans have gotten rabies (because they're all vaccinated). I get the whole debate about human vaccines, but these are pets!

I also like the bit about if an animal is bitten they'll just be eaten, so nothing to worry about.

Hi neighbors,
I am planning on addressing Thornton City Council on Tuesday night March7 regarding crime activity in our area and I am asking for either your attendence at the meeting or feedback on your thoughts, experiences,etc.. Do you feel safe in our community? If not, why? And what suggestions do you have? If you feel safe, i would like to know that as well.

Thank you for your attention to this issue, I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Some responses to the thread:

I definitely do not feel safe. I just had a man shot to death in front of my apartment. Ambulances, fire trucks and police cars are here almost every night.

Thanks for being our Voice on this matter. You cant even walk outside with something going wrong now days. This is a sad World and people are dying for no reason. I am looking in to a sercurity system for my house, because of this I know this will not make me safe outside, I also want to start a Neighborhood Watch Program to help everyone in our Neighborhood(s). I work on Tuesday night, so I will not be able to go, but I am here to support this matter in any way I can.

Thank you for your response. I agree with you, unfortunately. My daughter and I are terrified to live here. There are a lot of people who have no respect for life. I will try my hardest to be there to voice our concerns.

I'm so sorry for what you are

Then, the lady in blue above who is saying how terrified she is posted up this thread a few days later:

(all that was there - head and front legs) Torso/hind quarters were somewhere else or being pooped out by the coyote. But it also looked like someone could have *mutilated* it with a good knife. Another reason I didn't want to photo it or post it. My luck, I'll be the one investigated.

First we have a lady advertising to sell duck eggs. I'm surprised some Nancy hasn't said anything about if her sales have been approved by the FDA. She initially put up a post asking about interest. She got a bunch of interest and a lot of people asked how much. After seeing her listed prices, I hope someone does narc on her. You can get 5 DOZEN eggs at Sam's club for under $4. Also, I've had some duck eggs from members on here and while they are delicious, they are certainly NOT twice as large as chicken eggs.

Anyone interested in buying some backyard fresh duckeggs. All organic feed from happy healthy pet ducks.

Eggs are $8 a dozen. Amazing in baked goods. Higher protien and fatty acids then chicken eggs. They are also almost twice as big as regular chicken eggs.

Next, we have this hopeful guy. He included pictures of this TV on and the screen resolution looks like it should...15 years ago.

Still has great picture and is 50" ultravision Hitachi . I can keep it hooked up so you can see picture too. Asking $350 and I'll help load it.

I can't decide if these people are trying to rip people off, or if I hope they both get their asking price.

Oh man, this just in! The lady that was getting flamed for saying she cured cat cancer with a healthy diet is back at it with a post with almost zero information.

There are natural remedies helping pets with Bone Cancer. A vet in NY worked on one of my friend's dogs with the same and had amazing results. So far so good. I have a meeting with a local vet next week to discuss alternative treatments in Colorado. For more information, please message me.

Next, we have this hopeful guy. He included pictures of this TV on and the screen resolution looks like it should...15 years ago.

I can't decide if these people are trying to rip people off, or if I hope they both get their asking price.
Haven't tried duck eggs but heard they are good. Hopefully she doesn't get narc'd on. They are worth as much as she can sell em for.😉

No those aren't duck eggs at Sam's. Perhaps I'm just jaded by the much better deal I've received from members here on duck eggs.

Christmas decorations 😐

Happy Spring!! Hey I know you want to get a jump on next year and don't want to have to get out that ladder so it's awesome some of you still have those festive items still around on your houses.
The HOA must also love your holiday spirit or else they would of been down by Jan.
I myself am planning on hanging my Halloween 👻 decorations up this month. Why wait for Hobby Lobby to bring out the new ones in July.
But seriously 😒 .....

"TRASH !!!!
Dave Shaw from Enchantment Ridge · 5d ago
everyones trash has blown into my front and backyard three times!!!! i,m tired of picking up everyones trash... i live at the bottom of hayler ave.. does anyone want to stop by and pick up all of your trash?? i would appreciate it. THANK YOU"

I thought to myself, the arrogance of this doucher! So I felt the need to say something:

"Let me know how this works out. I've got a bunch of weed seeds that blew into my yard, rooted & grew weeds. These aren't my weeds. If someone wants to come claim their weeds that would be stellar!"

So far nobody has shown up to either location to claim what is rightfully theirs.

[LOL]

Suggest that he collect all the trash, sort it, store it, and post pictures of each item so people can identify and claims their trash.

Right? At least put forth SOME effort if you hope to have people come claim their trash.

Yeah...people need more things to do.

Anyone belong to these teenagers? Tossing a large bottle of soda on the sidewalk at the Founders Park pavilion...exploded everywhere.

She attached a picture of some teens standing there and a 2 liter next to them on the ground. Lol.

Reminds me of a lady posting something similar. Said a 5-year old egged her house. It was one egg that fell short and landed on the porch. She posted a blurry picture of a little kid walking up the street about 2 blocks away. Her and her husband couldn't catch the kid.

Many years ago when we lived in a rental at the corner of Hampton and Buckley, I got a knock on the door and was met with an irate woman claiming my kids had egged her car.

"My" kids were, of course, my oldest son and his friend. They both admitted to the mischief.

The boys apologized, I apologized, and politely offered to pay to have her car washed and recommended she do so immediately.

She wouldn't have it, just wanted to stand there and yell at me about being a horrible parent, kids shouldn't be outside throwing eggs (no shit lady), blah, blah, blah,. I again offered to pay for the wash, told her the boys would be disciplined as we saw fit. She kept on. Finally just told her to get the F**K off my property and she should call the cops if she thought it was warranted.

Woman took 3 detailed photos so a broken case of eggs in the middle of the street and was sending a neighborhood wide alert for possible egging from kids. This provoked other stay-at-home ppl to jump on the assumption band wagon. She called Aurora PD on the recommendation of they others. No reports. Wasn't a good enough answer for her so upon further investigation of the crime scene, the carton had a company and bar code-Royal Crest Diary. Called these poor souls up and wanted answers. Now Royal Crest is wasting their time investigating who was delivering in the area. Unbelievable....

We have Serial Eggers living in the neighborhood. When it warms up, these punks will egg vehicles and houses after dark. It doesn't seem to be a big deal until you find the dried-on remains of egg on your home or vehicle...do you know how damn hard it is to get dried egg off of brick or the back of your car?

This year, I'm getting a super-soaker and filling it with dollar store perfume and laying in wait.

Maybe you could tell DOW about the coyote problem and they'd install cyanide bombs.

Kids of the age and mentality to go egging, especially frequently, are probably already wearing dollar store perfume/cologne.

If anyone is interested in essential oils but doesn't want to go through the MLM mess of DoTerra or Young living and deal with their high prices thanks to the MLM, may I recommend a company called Jade Bloom! Their oils are just as great as the others and their prices are AMAZING! For example, as opposed to $30/bottle for some of the common oils JadeBloom charges $7 simply because they ship straight from their warehouse! No middle man! I am not getting a dime for saying this!! I just know that essential oils are an amazing natural "medicine" if you will and help so many things and I want to get the word out about a company that doesn't use multi level marketing to price gouge! Check them out and read some reviews if you are into the whole Essential oil thing! www.jadebloom.com they also have an app!
