View Full Version : Rainier Arms LoL
Buying the last few parts for ar10 build. Ordered three parts and they got two of them wrong.
Ordered a black rifle gas tube. SKU GT R BLK. Its right there on there on the packing slip. In blue pen there is a / Stainless written next to it. LoL yea just give me what the fuck you feel like throwing in the bag. Is a bag inside of an envelope the best way to send a gas tube through the mail? Anyways this is my first total build and stainless i dont want to look at under the hand guard.
Superlative Arms bleed off adjustable gas block. This is perfect in everyway way. They aint getting this back,
YHM Phantom 308 flash hider. Right on the packing slip YHM 3080 5C2 Sent me one for a 9mm with some funky thread. I guess it was close enough.
Called the phone number and went strait to if we fucked your order up this is the right place. Please leave a message....beep. LoL.
I have a feeling this isnt the RCBS level of customer service Im used to. Best part is the hand written order change. I cant wait to see how this goes.
9MM > .308/7.62MM
Sounds like you got more for your money.

Rainer used to be a top notch company. It seems they had growing pains and never corrected them after they expanded. Last two orders I made a while back they messed up.

9MM = 1/2-36 threads 30 cal = 5/8-24 Major difference .

5/8 > 1/2
OP is still getting more for his money!
(I've been kidding the whole time)
I had someone sub a part on my order of underbody splash guard parts for the wife's Suby - she mangled off the last storm of last winter. Saved me $70 by sending the correct parts. Doh!
I had assumed there were three bottom guards and only needed the (I assumed missing) bottom and cracked RH. They sent the RH and LH splash guards in addition to the fender liner I also ordered - she really tore things up. Before complaining, I did a little more research and realized that the option was EITHER a complete one piece bottom that included the L/R guards (only for the WRX) OR the two piece LH RH set for your run of the mill Impreza. Since I supplied the VIN, they figured it all out without my idiocracy.
Good thing, that $70 Makes up that I missed the cutoff date for a rebate on tires I need to buy. [Tooth]
I ordered an in stock lower from them months ago. After about 3 weeks with no shipping information I called them to ask what was going on. They said oh we try to ship everything out within two weeks of receiving orders and we don't have any of those left in stock and I have no idea when we are getting more, but it should be soon. I cancelled my order. If it was in stock it would of taken a month and a half to get to me and in this day and age waiting that long to get an actual "in stock" item is a bit absurd.
Keep an eye out on your CC. In 2013 I made a purchase with a new credit card I've never used before, right after the purchase I received fraudulent charges. I messaged them, and did not get a reply. They didn't even care, won't buy them from again.

So sad, I had bought from them years back, good experience, even if they were not the cheapest.
Lately their pricing has had me buying elsewhere

I haven't had any problems with them, but maybe that's just luck of the draw....I did sign up for their Apex program (which has already paid for itself), and that brings prices for most stuff lower than I've found elsewhere, and with free (sort of) shipping...

Wow. I thought I was the only one with a bad experience. They waited days to demand an explanation for why my shipping and billing address were different. My explanation was "because I live somewhere different from my billing address." Took them several days after that to ship. Took nearly a week to get a part. I remember them being quite the regarded shop on arfcom; not sure what happened.

When I ordered a lower from them in 2012, they sent me a notification that said, "Your order is in the mail now." After two weeks of no updates in the tracking, I called them. Their "customer service" rep got shitty with me and said that the notification was just that they had created a shipping label, but the lower was still a few weeks out. So I guess they printed a sticker with a barcode and stuck it in a drawer somewhere but wanted me to know they'd gotten that far. The rep went on to make it clear that I was an idiot for not expecting extending wait times with the election around the corner.
They have a lot of solid products, but their wait times are awful, and their suppliers obviously aren't interested in keeping them topped up since half the stuff is sold out at any given time.
I did finally recive the correct flash hider. Was told they didnt know when a black gas tube would be available so im building with the stainless one.
Dont know what to do with this 9mm flash hider. Dont really desire a 9mm carbine, but what other options do i have? (Thats what i say to my wife....please dont answer the question....I know.)

Well, obviously you need to build a 9mm semi-auto pistol ...
Run a bunch of mags through it rapid fire and that gas tube won't look so 'stainless'. [Coffee]
