There would be riots if this had been done with Obama.

Oh...and where is the zero tolerance policy?

Eh, big deal.

EDIT: If the kids made this play, just to practice the scenario where the Secret Service agent has to yell, "Donald, Duck!" then they should get a passing grade.

Agree. I get there would have been an hour piece on CNN had a conservative done it on Obama or Hillary. But I really thought safe spaces were just for the libs. Guess not.

Conservative kids get booted from school for eating a pop tart into the shape of a gun but liberal kids can practice attacks against the President and you want to give them a pass...I see.

No double standard here, move along.

Younger children using their hands to simulate guns on the playground have been suspended, she said, and this was far worse.

It appears there certainly is a double standard.

....a 0.5 tolerance policy?

Yeah...it is a big deal. I'd have a total meltdown if I found out my kid's teacher was condoning this sort of behavior. Against Trump or anyone else. Thank God my kids have been out of school for years.

According to the article the kids changed what they were going to do after pitching to the teacher, but they still should have gotten a talking to.

Please get over your recreational outrage and move on.

Are you referring to the anti-Trump types or the opinions expressed here?

I'm not outraged. Saddened would be more accurate I guess.

It's pathetic that kids get suspended for biting a pop tart into the shape of a gun, or playing cops and robbers and pointing a finger at someone and saying "bang bang" on the playground, or wearing an NRA t-shirt to school. It's the deliberate pussification of America by government schools.

It's also pathetic that the same people who suspended those kids don't suspend other kids for using gun sound effects from their cell phone during a "play" to assassinate the Prez-elect. The bias is obvious and sad.

I don't think ANY of these kids should be suspended or disciplined in any way.

The kids who did the mock assassination should have been told that isn't appropriate and here's why and that won't be allowed a the school play, fine. Looks like something like that was done. But if it was NRA t-shirt wearing conservative kids doing it as an "Assassinate Obama" skit? Different outcome guaranteed.

Just pathetic all around. It's a sad state of affairs in government schools these days.

Maybe a rebuttal play is in order showing the secret service breaking into their homes and hauling them and their families off, but one of them gets an idea to arm himself and the SS drops him. Maybe they would get the big picture? Of course Pence would need to be in attendance and get heckled as well

Well stated.
