Me: Castro's dead.
Wife: How did he die?
Me: By being 90.
Wife: Oh
Ivan Mikoyan, the Soviet fighter jet designer, and Florence Henderson, the mom both died today as well.
Oh, Fidel, Fidel, we should have hanged you 60 years ago.
I hear everyone gets treated equally in communist hell, the wait lines for burn ointment are long though.

He was able to keep the people subjugated for decades. Something the left has been partially successful going here. If one discounts their indoctrination within education.
Maybe this will shift the lefts outrage over trump for a few hours. Hopefully Hillary will offer some tribute to him. Really seal the deal
Bets on whether or not Obama attends his funeral?
I won't take that bet, because most state funerals are attended by foreign dignitaries, and Obama DID oversee the ending of the embargo...
Are there golf courses in cuba?

He Said That? 11/25/16 (https://straightlinelogic.com/2016/11/25/he-said-that-112516/)
From Fidel Castro, who died today, “I Won’t Be a Dictator,” interview with Ruth Lloyd (January 1959), printed in The Spokesman-Review (24 May 1959):
I am not a dictator, and I do not think I will become one. I will not maintain power with a machine gun.
That’s what they all say.

There's commies on this board? I hereby declare the drink water challenge. In 30 seconds or less, an unedited video of one going to the tap and filling and drinking a glass of water. That'll root em out.

I remember the Cuban missile crisis. Dad came home with an M-1 carbine. Told me not to touch it. Its' resting place was between the refrigerator and the wall. He was an enlisted man building Titan II missile silos in rural Arkansas. Now it is all gone.

I hadn't considered that possibility. As long as he takes Hillary with him, I'm in favor. We can always bomb the shit out of Havana down the road.

Maybe if we send all the liberals to Cuba the whole island will tip over and capsize. [facepalm]

Good riddance I say, good riddance.
Many members here said they'd leave CO when the 7/13 CO gun laws went into effect.
Many Cubans in Florida have long said they'd move back to Cuba when Fidel died.
I expect similar numbers following through on their statements in each case.

To be fair, Raul is still in charge down there (and every bit as bad as Fidel if not worse). I think most those Cubans in Florida you're talking about assumed his death would be the result of a revolution.
Yes, I am happy about it just as a Jew would be happy at the demise of Hitler or Arafat. Some history...
Fulgencio Batista, Castro's predecessor, was a dictator. A brutal one just as bad as any in Latin America...a region renowned for its lack of democracy. Batista was a smart man and allied himself with US business interests. And he used his position to enrich himself and oppress any opposition. Castro's revolution was not always billed as a Communist one and there were several other actions fighting Batista that were not aligned with Castro. But in the chaos of the final days of the revolution, Castro came out on top.
