I'm very tempted to put one on my pistol (running the Shockwave brace) to make it even easier to tote. Anyone using it now and if so what do you think?

I have one on a SBR.

Its ok but is not compatable with with all calibers like 9 and some 22 conversions.

It was a gift so I kept it.

Thanks, mine's a 5.56. Seems like it'd be a nice (but expensive) option, appreciate it.

It seems like a cumbersome and super expensive tacti-cool thing that I might buy if I had a truckload of extra money.

I have one on my 9mm sbr. Nothing special about using it either. Slapped it on, threw the extra weight and extended on the bolt.. good to go. Only issue I had with it was running ETS mags

My 9mm bolt carrier is solid in the rear and won't allow the plug/extension to fit.

Mine had a bit of weight on the end. There was a roll pin that dropped that solid piece. Extension slid right in.

In al fairness i had talked to the mfg to see if they had any success with it before doing it. They said they hadn't done it but had seen it done with no issues.

So far over 100 rds and no issues with it

Monky so I can assume then that you're a fan of this? It would sure make transporting the gun in a wider variety of "non-gun" looking bags a hell of a lot easier. I think we all agree it's a rather pricey "gadget" but might be worth it.

I like it. It certainly does make it a lot easier to fit in everyday bags. I have a 5" barrel on my 9mm... it pretty much folds in half.

I don't have any notions of the 9mm being a go to gun if SHTF, but it's fun. I'm planning on a 8.5" barreled pistol that will be getting a folder for a new 'truck' gun.

I put one on a 7.5" pistol so I can throw it in a regular sized backpack for my truck gun.
Love it.

Only issue I had is the hinge is fairly loose and will not tighten up like the instructions say.
I put a small piece of velcro on the stock and lower receiver so it stays folded instead of flopping open.

Very solid when locked in the open position. Solid piece of equipment.

Thanks guys, appreciate the responses. Not sure I'm going to go that route, planning on turning the pistol into an sbr after tax time so funds are earmarked for that right now-and buying ammo lol.

But, but, what about the list?
